Matt Holt x Reader

(Y/n) was shocked to hear that news, to say the least. Altean? Is this what had been hidden from her all along?? Apparently the only reason Allura knew this information was because (y/n)'s markings glowed a slight baby blue. She was merely half Altean, but Altean nonetheless. A few months had passed since she had learnt this information, and she's bonded with the people who had saved her life, who she now calls her family. Pidge, or Katie Holt, already knew who she was. They had a sweet reunion, in which (y/n) shared all she knew about Matt's whereabouts and wellbeing with Pidge. She learnt Keith and Lance had a weird rivalry, and that Lance was the biggest flirt ever. She learnt Hunk and pidge were the science geeks, and Hunk was a sweetie pie who loved baking/cooking. She met Shiro again, and they cried in each other's arms, sympathizing over the prosthetics and shared time in the Galran prison. She met Princess Allura and Coran, who were the only two Alteans before she arrived. The 8 became a loving family.

Pidge came into (y/n)'s room and told her she thinks she found out where Matt is, and wanted her to come with when she left to get Matt. (You already know what happens before she arrives at the graves and stuff so I'm skipping till they find Matt and they have that fight scene and blah blah blah) Y/N and Pidge were in a room.. with a cloaked man. They ran out and had an awesome battle with him, in which his helmet was removed, and the two recognized him. "Matt..." they said in unison. He blinked. "(Y-y/n)? Katie?" He whispered. The two girls ran and gave him a hug. He laughed heartily and the two girls began to shed tears of joy. This was all interrupted when an alien stepped from the shadows. (And you already know what happened, skipping the battle. Blah blah blah I'm lazy) Pidge, (y/n), and Matt were all in the green lion, catching up. "So, believe it or not... apparently I'm part alien? Altean yo be exact?" (Y/n) said. Matt looked confused for a second. "Basically Alteans look like this." And with saying that, she made her markings glow their blue hue and her ears pointed out a bit. Her pupils also changed into a almost lavender colour. Matt's jaw dropped. "You're so... YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL!" He yelled. The girl blushed, and turned back to normal. "Thank you, Matt.." Pidge rolled her eyes at the two of them and called up the castle. "We found Matt." Is all she said.

They arrived at the castle, and after they all greeted each other, it was time to go to bed. The paladins and the princess forgot to assign Matt a room, so (y/n) invited him to stay with her. She had a bed and some pillows set up on another space in her room, turning it into a makeshift bed. He thanked her, and the two went back to her room. "You know, (y/n), Shiro seems a little.. off." Is all the boy said when they arrived. "I agree. I just can't shake the feeling something bad is going to happen." She walked into the small bathroom connected to her room. "I'm going to change into my pajamas. Give me a minute." Matt nodded at her and sat on the bed. He was thinking to himself, not noticing (y/n) step out and sit next to him on the bed. She laid her head on his shoulder, slightly startling him. "Hey.." she looked up at him, blinking her eyes. His honey orbs stared at hers, and he blushed slightly. This cannot be happening. He couldn't be developing feelings for his best friend... simply couldn't be. "So... where are we sleeping?" He needed to get the awkward atmosphere GONE. She giggled at his question. "You have the bed, silly. I made the bed by the window for myself to use. Now goodnight Matt." She got up and kissed his head, and ruffled his hair. "Sleep tight, and don't let the space bedbugs bite." He said, turning over and shutting his eyes, going into a slumber, as with her.

This was the draft I made way back in 2017. I haven't looked at it since I last left this chapter nearly 4 years ago, but I felt I owed something after so many positive comments. Unfortunately, I have decided ro permanently suspend this book and continue with other projects, which hopefully should earn just as much love and attention. I appreciate all of you for reading this book albeit years ago, and appreciate every comment stating their love for said book and asking for updates. I know Voltron is dead and has been for a bit, but I apologize for breaking your hearts way back then.
