Ashe was shaking me awake."What?!?" I said startled.
"My sister. She was researching over night. She may have found something. But she needs your help."
"Alright, let's go, but you can let go of me now."
"Oh, right. Sorry."
We skipped breakfast and hurriedly drove to Ember's house. When we arrived, Ember was on her porch waiting for us.
"What is it?" Ashe asked.
"I may have come up with a theory. Sit, and we will talk. Not out here though. Inside."
I sat down with a thumping heart shakily. "Well?" I was too nervous.
"Have you seen or done anything that feels or sounds familiar? According to an old history book I found, 130 years ago, a human like you, was found in this world. The government found him. He was never seen again. Magicians say his soul or part of him had to have been drawn to our world. It might not have been a soul. We don't know. But he was drawn here. And I have an idea. All I need is a simple blood sample."
"Why? May I ask." This started to worry me.
"Our blood, furry blood, as you may call it, differs from humans. We are mythical after all. We have a more complicated structure."
"Since when did you become a scientist?" Ashe asked.
"When I graduated. I just have a crazy theory. All I need is a few drops, of Thomas' blood. I will test it to prove my theory true or false."
"Anything that helps me get to the bottom of this." I said
"Alright then. I'll go get my stuff ready then. I'll be right back." And Ember disappeared downstairs.
Ashe looked a little confused.
"What's wrong now?" I asked.
"I've never seen her so frantic. Can you tell me. What you were having dena vu on?"
I didn't know how to answer since she was the primary thing of my deja vu.
So I took the leap."I'm just going to be straight with you Ashe. You are the person causing me to have wierd feelings. Like I've met you before. That picture, in your house, the one of you in uniform? It felt like I was there with you."
She nodded and buried her face in her hands.
"I just don't know what's going on." I said.
Then Ember came back up stairs with a container of equipment.
As she was placing stuff to get ready, she said, "This will only take a second. I just need about a teaspoons worth.""Alright."
"Ready?" She asked.
I took a deep breath and she started her process.
