The hero | Link x reader

Chapter 1

While the mayor was giving you a tour, you saw a young man. Blonde hair, blue eyes, pointed ears. His "shirt" only had one sleeve. He was wearing sandals. Wrapped with certain clothes..he looked quite handsome.

"Yo! Link! Come're"

The young teen went to the mayor, he kind of stared at you, probably because you're new.

"Yes? What's up?"

"Do you have some space at your place?"

"Yes."

"Mind if this young lady stays?"

"Uhh...s-sure."

You thought about living with a boy. You were scared if he might do "something". The old warrior came back to you. "So, where will you be staying at?"

"That boy's house."

You said while pointing at the boy.

Minutes later, the boy took you to his house. "Careful with the ladder." He said. He held the door for you to enter. "I really love your...house?" You said not trying to sound rude. "It's fine, I know it's confusing."

He showed you where you'll be sleeping. Then he asked you if you wanted something to eat. You were starving. As you were eating, he asked you some questions to know you a little better.

"What's your name?"

"(Y/N)."

"Age?"

"17."

"Where did you used to live?"

"Castle town."

"Have any parents?"

The moment you heard that question you stopped chewing. You suddenly started chocking. You couldn't stop coughing. The male teen was hitting your back and handing you water.

You drank the water.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry I was asking a lot."

"It's fine."

Flashback

"Mother! Mother!? Where are you!?" You said while escaping the fire.

You looked out the window and saw a white horse.

White horse is the significance of the kingdom in every land.

Your mother escaped without you.

She knew she had left you but didn't care.

"Mother..."

You didn't had a chance but to jump from the castle to the village below.

Luckily, you survived.

End of flashback

"It's just...I lost my family in a tragic accident" you said while looking down.

"Oh, sorry about that.." the boy said, touching your shoulder.

"But don't worry, once you get to know me, and the rest of the people in this village, maybe you can call us family."

You felt slight happiness in your heart.

"Yeah..I hope."

"Now are you ready to sleep?"

"Yes, Thanks."

{Next day}

You woke up very excited today, you made some breakfast for both you and the boy. The boy came down to where you were. "Ah, I forgot. What is your name?" You asked. "Link." He said.

"Oh, nice to meet you, Link."

The boy blushed a tiny bit but you didn't noticed.

"Nice to meet you, too."

"So what are you going to do today?" You asked.

"Work at the ranch, wanna come?"

"Sure."

You followed Link all the way to the ranch and came across some goats which scared you because you thought they were going to hurt you. Link held your shoulder and said "It's fine just keep following me."

You kept following and saw a random horse.

"Her name is Epona. She's gentle so she won't hurt you." Link said.

"Oh, okay." You responded.

"Now for safety. Stand close to the fence over there, where that guy is." He said while pointing to a man close to the entrance of the ranch.

You went to the man and watched Link attempt to put all goats inside.

"So what's your name young lady?"

"(Y/N), yours?"

"Fado."

"Oh."

When Fado was about to say something, Link came.

"Whew! All goats in!"

"Thanks, lad! Before you go, feel like jumping fences?"

"Sure! Come on, (Y/N)!"

"Uhh?"

"Here, get on the horse, let me help you."

Link got on the horse and lend you a hand. This was your first time on a horse.

"Hold me so you won't fall."

You held Link tightly. Link was getting Epona ready to jump the fences. "Be ready." He said.

"Right, ok-" you felt really high and dizzy. Epona jumped.

"You good there?"

"Uhh- Yeah, I got dizzy for a bit."
You said feeling a bit of a headache

You heard Link chuckle. It was kind of...cute.

Both of you went home.

"Hey, I want to talk to you about something." Link said
You felt kind of nervous.

He took you to a rare but pretty spring. You looked around in amazement. "Woah."

"This is the Ordon spring. Our light spirits protects us and keeps the light surrounding." He said.

You both sat down feeling the nice fresh water in between your toes. Suddenly you saw a small shining next to you. It was Link's hand. It somehow looked like the sacred crest believed to be a blessing by the gods. "Um? Link?"

"I...used to be a hero. The hero of twilight is believed to be my name." He said.

"The hero of twilight?" You were confused.

"Yes, I went into temples, fought off the darkness in Hyrule. I even had a partner, she was from the twilight, Well the twilight princess."

"The darkness-" you stopped. You didn't know why, but you felt pain.

You put your hands in your heads trying to make the pain go away.

"H-Hey! , are you okay!?"

You were panting, and yelling. "Arghhh...!"

"Hold on, let me- huh..?" Link saw something in your right hand. Something blue..seemed frosty too.

With desperation, you splashed some of the spring water to your face and calmed down. You kept on panting in fear. You turned around to look at the male staring at you.

"..."

"Let's go home." He said.
