We could not run from our fate
Countless nights forced us awake
We struggled to make it through,
This dreadful day
We walked like wilted flowers
We thought like baby chicken
We knew we were already caught
In this big self-made dark inevitable webWe were weak
I wanted us to make it out
But we could not stop the end
It was coming for us like a tsunami
We walked fast and slow
Slow and fast
We feared someone was behind us
Ready to take our headsWe went home
And enjoyed our last evening
At least one cup of tea
A hug and a kiss
Then we waited for this terrible thing
At last I heard your painful cries
From across the hallYour head started to hurt
The ground started to shake
There is nothing now
To keep us awake
When the ground crumbled
We had fallen in
But that was okay
We finally had each other now
