I am gathered with 3RACHA at a producing studio to work on our track.

"I'm actually so excited for this performance," Chan states, "It'll be cool having Riley's voice on a 3RACHA style track."

Jisung excitedly says, "Me too! Plus we don't do rap based performances too often."

"I feel bad that you guys are doing so much work though," I frown.

Changbin tilts his head to the side, "What do you mean? You're writing your entire rap verse plus helping with the other lyrics."

I groan, "Yeah, but I'm not a producer, so you guys are doing so much that I can't help with it."

Chan pats my head, "It's okay, Riley. We can always teach you some producing tips so that in the future we can all make a track together."

"Thanks, guys."

After about an hour more of working for the performance, the boys announce that they have a few demo tracks we could choose from.

Chan plays each option: The first is kind of an old school hip hop track, the second is more sentimental, and the third has a softer beginning building up to something more fast-paced.

"I think the third will display all of our styles best. We could start with my more sentimental rap style and finish strong with Changbin's powerful, fast rap verse," Jisung suggests.

I nod, "That sounds best. Plus, the build-up will probably be most energetic for the audience."

"Agreed," Changbin adds, "It sounds concert material for sure."

"Alright then. Let's record a guide," Chan smiles.

We were so excited to work on the track that we quickly lost track of time and stayed in the studio working until past midnight.

"We should probably get some sleep," Changbin says.

"Not a bad idea," Chan starts, "But Chris is hungry."

Jisung fumbles with a pen in his hand, "I mean, we could get some food first."

"Also not a bad idea," I note.

Quickly standing up, Jisung raises his fist, "Then it's settled! We'll go get food, and since it was Chan's idea, he can pay!"

"Wait a minute," Chan gets up to catch Jisung, but the younger boy already ran out the door.

Changbin and I laugh before following after the two.

The next day, the four of us are back in the studio working on the song again.

As we are immersed in our individual tasks, we hear a loud voice yell, "Bang Chan!"

All of us turn to the door to see Bambam laughing.

"Bambam!" the Australian boy yells back.

They hug each other, and Bambam pulls up a chair to see what we are all up to.

"We're going to have a concert with both of our groups, so we are making unit performances," Chan summarizes for him.

Bambam nods, "That's cool. So this is the rap unit, right?"

We confirm his assumption, and he suddenly smirks.

"You know," he begins, "I'm a rapper myself."

"So?" I trail off, not understanding what his point is.

"So, can I be on the track?" he asks, pouting a little.

Changbin looks at him confused, "You want a verse in a song you won't be there to perform?"

Bambam shakes his head, "Not a whole verse, just some background sounds or something to see if anyone notices."

The four of us glance at each other wondering if we should do it. Bambam looks at us for permission, and we all shrug to signify that we don't mind.

"Yes!" Bambam cheers.

We play what we have for the track so far, and Bambam points out places that could use some background words and such. After deciding, we have Bambam record some random ad-libs that we can throw in later.

"That was fun," Bambam says after exiting the recording booth, "I'm going to head out now, but good luck on the concert, guys. You'll do great."

We all say a series of thank yous and get back to working after he leaves.
