Parker was feeling down from all the hate she was getting. However, she kept a fake smile plastered on her face every time she talked to Shawn or Margot.
She poured herself a third glass of wine, sitting back down on the couch. She was binge watching New Girl, trying to find a way to laugh. But it seemed impossible; she couldn't get the comments off of her mind.
"Park? Hey, you down here?" Margot called out, running down the stairs.
"Yeah, down here," Parker sniffed, wiping the stray tear from her face. "What's up, bug?"
Margot got in front of her, sticking her hair tie out to her sister. "Braid, please?"
Parker chuckled. "Yeah, yeah. Sit down." Margot smiled and sat down in front of her.
"So, how've you and Shawn been?"
"Great," Parker nodded, a frown on her face. "The hole in my heart has definitely been filled. I really needed him."
"Yeah, I know. That's why I asked him over," Margot smiled. "I'm a mastermind."
"You're a dork," Parker chuckled. "But I love you. Thank you for getting us back together."
"No problem, sis," Margot said. "And I'm sorry about what I said. You're not a bitch. You're my best friend, and you didn't deserve to be treated like that. I know you were just heartbroken."
"It's okay, Mar. I love you."
"Love you, too."
"All done," Parker said, tapping Margot on the shoulder.
"Thanks," Margot said, standing up and sighing. "Have you been crying?"
"What? No way."
"I know you have," Margot said. "Your eyes are puffy."
Parker shook her head. "You got me."
"What is it?"
"The hate," Parker sighed. "I don't know why it's even getting to me, considering I see it all the time."
"Jeez, Park. I'm sorry," Margot said. "Maybe just keep your comments off for a while. It might help."
"Yeah, that's what I've been doing. I don't want to worry Shawn, so don't tell him about this, okay?"
"Yeah, I won't," Margot said. "Promise."
"Thanks, kid," Parker smiled. "Get to bed, it's late."
Margot ran up to her room, shutting the door behind her. Parker finished off her wine and checked her twitter once more. The hate was simply getting worse, and nothing seemed to help. Parker turned off her phone and sighed, standing up and going to bed.
