XXV ~ I Do Love You

"Do you have a ring?"

"Yeah." The ring I picked out was stunning. It reminds me of her.

"How are you going to ask her?" Gerard questioned. 

"I don't know." I sighed. Soon after, y/n came out looking gorgeous as always. I can never keep myself from smiling when I see her.

"You guys ready?" She smiled. I nodded and took her hand in mine. 

The three of us walked to the closest coffee shop. It's this place called Steamin' Beans. Y/n absolutely adores this place. On our way there we passed by a lady walking her dog. Y/n gasped and asked to pet the dog. 

"I love Border Collies so much!" Y/n exclaimed while practically rolling around with the puppy.

"They are pretty fucking cute." Gerard agreed.

"Not around the puppy PeTe." Y/n joked. Gee rolled his eyes as she got back up from the ground.

"I want a puppy. Specifically a Border Collie." She said while locking her hand back to mine. Gerard looked at me with a raised eyebrow. Is he implying that I-

Oh my god its perfect.

"Maybe one day I'll get you one." I smiled while planting a kiss on the top of her head. Gerard snickered to himself.

"Hey y/n, I'll be back. I need to meet up with a friend." I said while grabbing my keys. 

"Okay. Have fun." She kissed my cheek before I walked out. 

Truthfully I'm not meeting a friend.

I'm buying a puppy.

Whoops.

I grabbed the ring and box before walking out. I'm gonna do it today. I'm going to propose to the love of my life. 

There's a pet store a few miles away from here so I typed in the location into my phone and drove down town. Jitters were flying up and down my spine the whole drive there. What if she says no? Is it too soon to propose? God this better go perfectly. I love her too much for this to flop.

I finally arrived at the store. Puppies lined the windows and it made my heart melt. I walked in and my ears were instantly filled with the small whimpers of the puppies. 

"Can I help you sir?" A girl who looked a bit younger than me greeted. 

"Yeah, uh, do you have any Border Collies?" I asked nervously. I've never bought an animal so I don't know if I'm doing this right.

"We have one actually. Follow me." The lady said, walking over to a room filled with more animals. There were a few adult dogs in here but mainly puppies. We stopped in front of a cage with one black and white puppy in it. It looked so incredibly soft. "Her name is Rowan." 

She handed me the puppy with bright blue eyes. Rowan was so freaking soft. Like seriously. She seemed shy at first but then licked my face. She's perfect.

"I'll buy her." I said while staring into the puppies bright blue orbs.

"Do you want a new tag for her? Like with a different name?" The lady asked while leading me back to the front of the store. 

"Can you write something other than a name on it?" 

She looked at me confused. "Like what?"

"'Marry Me?'?" I asked. Her confusion turned into a soft smile.

"So this is a proposal puppy?" She smiled while typing a few things into her computer.

"Heh, yeah." I scratched the back on my neck with the hand that wan't supporting the small dog. She continued to type away and then handed me some papers to sign. I handed her the puppy so she could put the new tag on her while I filled out a few forms.
