Isaac giggled at Maria's snarky comment. I paled at the words, and she rolled her eyes when she noticed. Maria turned when she felt Isaac tugging on her arm. Isaac looked up at Maria and blew a kiss before dropping his head onto his pillow. Maria seemed agitated, and since I've handled Isaac when he's drunk before, I could understand why.

"Someone kept sneaking him drinks. I wasn't sure who, or else I would've gotten him away from them." Maria explained.

"You weren't drinking?" I asked.

"I don't drink," Maria responded.

Tiana knocked on the door and let herself in.

"Sorry to interrupt, I just wanted to let you know I'll be leaving now." Tiana swayed awkwardly and I felt annoyed at the innocent act she was trying to pull.

"Bye beautiful," Isaac mumbled.

Maria waited a moment before speaking, "She's out of the house. Something about her seems off."

"You're jealous." Isaac teased.

"Of what?" Maria asked.

"Dylan is such a ladies man. I taught him everything. Except how to kiss, I guess you taught him that." Isaac giggled.

Maria furrowed her brow and directed her attention to me.

"What is he babbling about?" Maria asked.

"You, uh, should just ignore him. He's drunk." I grumbled.

"You were his first kiss," Isaac said while making kissy faces at me.

I glared at Isaac and considered suffocating him with a pillow, but instead, I let my anger show through my eyes. My eyes didn't change color when I got angry, but it was obvious enough to shut Isaac up. I sighed and traveled back to my room. I dropped down onto my bed and let my arm rest over my eyes. Maria came into the room and laid next to me. The bed barely moved under her weight.

"I didn't know," Maria explained.

"I didn't expect you to," I responded.

"I wouldn't have known if Isaac didn't say anything." Maria thought out loud.

"What does that mean?" I asked.

"It means you didn't seem inexperienced." Maria specified.

I lifted my arm from over my face to see Maria looking up at the ceiling with her hands clasped, laying on her stomach. She seemed almost lost in thought. I turned onto my side and rested my head on my hand. Maria looked into my eyes and I felt my stomach tingle. I had a naked girl sitting on my lap and I never felt that sensation. Maria removed her eyes from mine and looked back at the ceiling.

"I know what you mean about Tiana seeming off," I stated.

"You shouldn't talk about your girlfriend like that," Maria remarked.

"She's not my girlfriend," I informed her.

"I don't like that," Maria stated.

"What?" I asked, confusion evident in my tone.

"If you like someone you should be with them. If you don't like someone you should tell them. If you like more than one person you need to make a choice or you get neither. Emotions aren't a toy you get to play with, they're the most human thing you have." Maria rambled on.

"You're right." I sighed.

"I know I am. I wouldn't bother saying anything if I wasn't" Maria replied cockily.
