(Y/N) nodded, but that couldn't stop her from thinking about her two friends.
During the time they spent together in her shop, she thought that their relationship was improving but she now realized that it wasn't the case.
Katsuki's hatred for Izuku was growing stronger and there were subtle hints that she had missed.
She clenched her teeth. How could she have been so stupid and not noticed the growing tension?
She felt a small droplet on the top of her head, but she ignored it. Soon, another droplet followed and eventually, it began sprinkling.
She looked up to see what the cause was and all she saw was rain pouring inside the whole room.
Little droplets of water drenched her hair and outfit along with those of everyone else in the room. The water droplets grew larger and began falling more frequently.
The pitter patter of the rain turned into hard thuds and crackles which sounded like an old radio coming to life. The sound calmed her down and each droplet hit her skin with just enough coolness to command her mind away from her struggles.
Apparently, the other students didn't seem that calmed by the presence of the rain.
"How is it coming through the building?!" A guy that (Y/N) recognized as Kaminari Denki asked, "That shouldn't be happening."
"Young (L/N), is this your doing?" All Might asked the girl, putting his hand on her shoulder gently, "Are you really that worried about Young Midoriya?"
The touch broke her thoughts and that was when she realized what she was doing. The rain gently slowed down and the loud thuds turned into soft pitter patters once again before vanishing.
"Yeah," she replied sheepishly, "I guess I just didn't think that my emotions would impact the weather."
"That's really cool, (Y/N)-san!" Momo praised, "I didn't know that you could make rain go through solid objects."
"I mean, it's partly because of this," (Y/N) revealed, pointing at the pendant around her neck, "It acts as an enhancer and it allows the rain water to penetrate hard surfaces."
All Might nodded and (Y/N) didn't miss his troubled expression. She had an idea of what he was thinking about and debated whether or not she should tell him.
"And yes, this is one of Chiba-sensei's creations," she added, deciding that there was no harm in telling him.
All Might nodded just as the battle ended. He announced the next team, which just happened to be (Y/N), Hagakure, and Ojiro against Todoroki and Shoji.
(Y/N) entered the building with her two teammates and when they reached the bomb, they discussed what they should do in that situation.
Ojiro suggested that Hagakure take off her gloves and boots, which would make her completely invisible. That way, she could sneak up on the opponents and attack them without them noticing.
He also suggested that (Y/N) stay near the bomb with him because in case the plan fails — which was likely because Todoroki was a recommendation student — there needed to be more people as backup.
Nobody had any problems with that and Hagakure went in the direction where they first came from.
"(L/N)-san," Ojiro called, catching her attention, "You can make it rain inside the building, right?"
"Yes. What about it?"
"If you can control the temperature of the rainwater, can you make it rain boiling hot water in front of us because I think Todoroki-san might use his ice."
"Because he might just shoot his ice right at us and if I create hot rainwater, it will melt, right?"
"Precisely."
(Y/N) was surprised at how smart he was and complied. She created boiling hot rain in front of them, which created a barrier between them and the room outside the door.
"Do you think that this will be enough to keep him out?" (Y/N) questioned, motioning towards the heavy rainfall, "Or should I?"
She didn't mention what her next suggestion was but she showed it by making the rainwater fall all at once continuously, which created a waterfall-like barrier between them and the door.
"I just hope Hagakure-san isn't below that because otherwise, she'll end up with serious burns."
Ojiro winced at the thought of that and just then, they both felt something ice cold underneath their feet.
