"LJ! You look gorgeous girl!" Chris beams at my fresh new hair cut. "All the boys will definitely have their eyes on you."

I roll my eyes and laugh. "Chris, we've been through this."

Chris throws her hands up in the air in defeat. "Fine! PK as always, but wait, does he know you cut your hair? Or worse, your sisters?"

"I'll show my sisters later and I know they won't mind." I sigh in content knowing Kitty wouldn't be bothered by how short I cut my hair since I will not be asking for braids in the months to come.

We walk through the city streets before Chris stops us both. "How have we not taken photos?"

"Remember, I'm trying to keep this as lowkey as possible." I explain until Chris takes her phone out anyway and tells me to get ready for photos. I pose a natural smile then throw up my hands trying to act normal around people walking past us.

She snickers to herself while scrolling through the photos. "You should send these to Peter, he'll leave all his responsibilities just to make out with the newest version of Lara Jean."

My eyebrows shoot up in shock while looking around to see if anybody else heard what she said. "Chris! And we don't have to worry about him leaving his responsibilities anyway."

"Oh, right! It's this weekend?" She asks while I happily nod in reply.

After a week of stressful mid-terms, I jump on my bed and bury myself in pillows and blankets. "LJ--" I stop Chris from saying anything else, "I'm so tired. I am going to sleep the weekend."

"Okay, but PK's been bugging me how you won't answer his text messages." Text messages? I sit up straight and grab my phone from my desk to see a few missed calls and text messages from Chris and Peter.

I look at my calendar and see it's Friday which means that it is UVA's and UNC's lacrosse game. "How could I forget!"

Chris starts to look through my fridge for food while I panic and call Peter. Thankfully, he picks up immediately. "Babe, did you forget about me?"

I laugh nervously, but he already knows the truth. "What? No, I didn't."

"Guess where I am..." I have a bad feeling about this. "I'm at UNC!"

"You are!?"

"Lara Jean, what's wrong?" I look at Chris and see her almost done with the ice cream sandwich she stole. She looks up at me while I point to my hair. "Hello?" I hear Peter say.

"Are you here on campus?" I ask.

He stays quiet for a moment before answering me. "Yeah."

"Interesting, can I call you in just five minutes? I have to freshen up?"

Peter sighs over the phone. "Uh, you know what? Nevermind, I can just come tomorrow for the game." Without another word, he hangs up the phone.

"LJ! Did you not tell PK about your haircut?"

I shrug. "It totally slipped from my mind."

"Well reverse slip it in your mind and tell him. It's gonna suck if PK is in a bad mood before his game."

I know for a fact that the lax team from UVA are surveying the field and then they're off to go back to the hotel or roam around before their game in the afternoon. "Chris! We need to go to the field right now."

"Wait, why am I coming?"

I grab my pink sweater and grab my car keys. "Because you're gonna be there for me, just in case Peter doesn't take it well."

"Yeah, but if you guys end up sucking faces, then you owe me one more ice cream sandwich!" Chris exclaims while I pull her out of our dorm room.

"Our game is tomorrow. We're here to survey the place and then I expect every one of you at the hotel by midnight." Coach Milo informs everyone on the charter bus.

I peer over my phone and see Lara Jean has yet to reply to me. I sling my backpack on my shoulder before we all exit the charter bus.

I stay behind the group while I answer my sudden phone call. "Babe, did you forget about me?"

"What? No, I didn't!" She did!I try to ignore her nervousness and say, "Guess where I am, I'm at UNC!"

"You are!?"

I cringe at how surprise she sounds. "Lara Jean, what's wrong?" Silence. "Hello?"

"Are you here on campus?" She asks.

"Yeah." I nod to myself and try to look around just in case she's sneaking behind me and she's doing this pretending act just to trick me.

"Interesting, can I call you in just five minutes? I have to freshen up?"

"Uh, you know what? Never mind, I can just come tomorrow for the game." I don't hesitate to say anything else due to the sinking feeling in my stomach.

I frown to myself as I reflect the conversation between me and Lara Jean.

Since Kitty and I helped Lara Jean move into her dorm, I remembered where each building was and most importantly, the field.

We continue to survey the area until the coach tells us we can go our own way. Gavin, my team mate, stands next to me, "Hey, are you gonna look for girls?"

I look at him wondering where he's getting the idea to look at girls when he obviously remembers that someone already owns my heart. "Just kidding, wait, isn't that the girl on your Instagram?"

My eyes scan around the area and I see my Lara Jean, but different. I wrinkle my eyebrows, "Lara Jean!"

She stops where she's walking and faces Chris then me. Chris pushes her forward to where I was standing. "Hi."

"Covey," I come closer to her and reach over feel her hair. "You cut your hair."

She avoids eye contact, but I hold her face to look at me. "Do you like it?"

"Do you like it?" I ask her while she nods.

"Then I love it, Covey. You look beautiful."

"Thank you." She smiles before looking straight at me, "Kiss my like you missed me, Kavinsky!"

I chuckle at her impersonation of me when we had our first New Years kiss last year. I shut her up with my lips on hers before she makes she could make another horrible impersonation of me.

When we break apart, I wrap my arms around her, "God, I love you."

"Lara Jean 2.0 loves you too."
