I keep my eyes shut when I feel something touch my cheeks. I try to slap it away, but a sudden shake beside me causes me to almost jump out of my seat.

"Peter... wake up!" I slowly open my eyes and see no one in the bus, but Lara Jean and I.

"We're already here?" I ask while we slowly stand up and stretch. I yawn again before the both of us exit the bus and join the everyone outside to get inside.

"Hey, I'm gonna go to go catch up with Chris, I'll see you inside." Lara Jean heads toward Chris while I enter the lodge and find Greg huddled with the group of students near the fireplace.

I sit on the couch waiting for Greg to say his special announcement. "They said, "Greg, make sure everyone sleeps in their assigned room. "And I said, "Overruled sleep where you want, guys!"

I laugh at the happy teens grabbing the key cards on the floor. "So they leave you as our chaperone this time?"

"Of course, who else?" Greg shrugs his shoulders and points to himself confidently. I absolutely know for a fact that this weekend is gonna end up horrible with Greg's surveillance.

I hear someone call my name, for a second I think it's Lara Jean, but I see Gen leaning on the staircase. "See you on Black Diamond, Peter? Last down the slope owes the other a hot toddy."

I watch Lara Jean eye me suspiciously, but I don't hesitate to not give Gen a reply because it'll ruin the contract. I avoid any rumors getting spread around Lara Jean, Gen and I so I stick to talking to Greg instead.

"Hey, dude! Look at Largie!" I scoff and try to ignore him, but he physically turns me around to find a few people go quiet since Lara Jean was now confronting Gen.

I almost want to stop and protect Covey, but she suddenly crosses her arms in front of herself and Gen backs off a step away from her. Gen rolls her eyes and stomps to go inside the row of rooms.

Everyone goes back to normal when Lara Jean turns around and heads downstairs to me. "Kavinsky, you taking me down Black Diamond?"

I stare at her with my mouth wide open. "Are you serious?"

She leans in closer to me so no one would hear her. "No, but I can't let her claim you, we're together."

"You have a lot of guts than I think you do, Covey. What'd you even tell her?

Lara Jean smiles at me. "You don't need to worry about that, Kavinsky."

Then it's quiet between us. I clear my throat and ask, "You still want to go to the slopes with me?"

She shakes her head immediately. "Do I look like I'm going down those slopes? Heck no!"

I sigh and throw my hands up in defeat. "Fine, but meet me at the hot tub later?"

"I'll have to think about it, but don't wait up!" Lara Jean says before I feel her quickly peck my cheek with a kiss in front of everyone. "That was for the mocha sugar donuts from earlier."

I take her by surprise and kiss her lips in front of the whole junior and senior class. We stop abruptly when I hear Greg yell at us. I stare at a wide eyed Lara Jean, "I'm gonna go ahead now."

I watch her walk away with Lucas and Chris to the rooms. Before Lara Jean enters her room, I see her give me a quick wave. That's all I needed to go by my day since that means that me and her were okay.

I decide for myself that tonight, I'll finally tell her I'm starting to have feelings for her.

Tonight.

I didn't put a lot of Lara Jean talking off Gen cause in the movie and trilogy, LJ isn't that type of person to talk back to anyone, unless it's maybe Peter 😂
