The End of Days

Infinite slightly hovered in the air outside of the park in Sunset City, with lots of ruin buildings that were either destroyed or falling apart. It was all thanks to Doctor Eggman that this city was in ruin and part of it was Infinite fault too. The park he was in right now use to be a beautiful one but sadly those days were gone when Eggmans Army demolished it.

"Pretty quiet around here at night" the mask jackal said to himself as he took something out of his tail that looked like some kind of handheld radio and turned it on.

"Thanks to Sonic and the Resistance Forces along with support from G.U.N Forces, the city of Metropolis, where the worlds evil Dr. Eggman was station at, has been capture, Resistance and G.U.N Forces have set up a perimeter around the city and are working together to free any prisoners that were held hostage in the city and to keep any Eggman robots from leaving the city"

Letting out a sigh Infinite begins flying towards his destination where he knew everything would be alright. He holds onto the radio listening in on the news station giving more details of the situation over in Metropolis, a city where he lived for the last six months during the war, which Eggman gave too him.

"They better not ruin my high-expensive penthouse" Infinite said to himself with a growl "some of my possessions are there"

Although, he was a little concerned for his home in Metropolis, it really wasn't his home, though he considered it his home Since where he lived before was nothing compared to there.

"With G.U.N and Resistance Forces securing the city we have just received an update that Dr. Eggman and the being known as Infinite, Whose second in command of the Eggman Army, have apparently escape during the fighting and are said to have retreated to'Imperial Tower' a.k.a 'Eggman Empire Fortress'-."

Infinite turns off the radio, putting back in his tail and landed on top of a destroyed skyscraper .

"There it is...So this is the 'resistance Base HQ"

He observed every inch to get a good look at where he was at.

The building he was looking at looked liked some kind of old rundown massive warehouse but he could tell it was up and running, a chain link fence surround the massive warehouse building, he could see other buildings in the fenced area that might be barracks, armory, offices etc.

"Not bad for a hidden base, they even got defenses set up to including Guard posts.....it would nice to wipe this base off the map...but sadly," he sighs to himself "i must survive...its the only way"

He facepalms himself jumps off the building and floats safety to the ground before proceeding to the base.

A Red Wolf rubs his eyes as he lets out a yawn and puts his glasses back on before leaning back in the chair

"Why me, why do I get guard duty tonight...oh yeah that's right, the guard assign to this post had to go on lunch break for two hours...ugh" Gadget thought to himself groaning as he looks at the clock seeing it was 8:00pm "just one more hour to go then I can rest up and prepare for the big assault tomorrow which will end the war once and for all"

The red wolf let out another yawn.

Gadget, the red wolf, has come a long way when he joined the resistance in the fight against Eggman, he learned how to be brave and not let fear take control of him. And tomorrow he will be joining the others to end the war once and for all.

He really needed to get some sleep as he was darn tired. Maybe if he closed his eyes for just a few minutes no one would notice he would at least get some sleep.
