I used to like you.
You are so sporty and sweet and geeky and everything that I saw was perfect at the time.
I think your braces made you look more innocent with your glasses.
At the time, younger me didn't think anything of it, but now I know why I liked you. I think it was your silly determination. You made jokes while you were trying to do something you couldn't.
Your smile lit up my day and your jokes were great, and honestly, how could I not like you?
I saw why all the girls liked you, but I knew or about you than they did.
You called yourself dumb, but you are really smart. You seemed like one of those kids who'd just copy off of others work, but as I git to know you, I saw that you tried as hard as you could. That makes me look up to you, in a way.
The jokes you'd say we're always hilarious, making the entire class laugh as we tried to focus on our work. Having you in my classes was amazing.
