Phil's POV
When Dan calmed down, I cracked a joke and managed to make him laugh.
A small, quiet, nervous laugh.
But a laugh all the same.
Dan's POV
I wanted to leave.
To get back to my room and sleep.
Maybe when I woke up, I'd be back.
But as I started to walk out through the door, Phil grabbed my arm.
His fingers pressed into the fresh cuts I had made that morning and I flinched away.
Why does this keep happening just let me sleep!
Phil's POV
I made sure Dan stayed with me the rest of that day.
I didn't want him to be sad all alone, and I wanted to make sure he didn't do something whilst he was in this state.
I grabbed his arm when he turned to go, and he seemed to flinch away.
Probably still jumpy.
Suggesting TV, I grabbed the remote and beckoned Dan over to the sofa.
I didn't care what was on - I don't think Dan did, either.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Dan fidgeting with his hands, so I moved over and pulled him close to me into a hug.
And slowly, I felt as he drifted off to sleep, his head resting on my shoulder.
