The Elementals [1] [P. Parker]

We free fell through the air for a short time, until we hit a giant trampoline.

"Oh, my, god!" I shouted as the eight of us bounced down four more, I counted, trampolines.

We landed with a thud on a hard ground and heard a male voice laughing.

I slowly got to my feet, groaning, just like the other teenagers.

Jessica, on the other hand, jumped straight up and flung her arms around the laughing man's neck.

"Noah! You finally made it!" she said.

"Yeah, I did." the man said back.

After a second more, Jessica jumped back.

"I want you to meet," she said, gesturing to us kids. "The newbies."

"Hey, guys. I'm Noah Camp. Nice to meet you all. I'll be one of your trainers." Noah waved.

"Hi." we all replied with. Or in Renée's case, "Hey."

"So, which one of you is which?" one of the men from before, the one who shouted at us, asked.

Jessica answered for us, gesturing in turn. "This is Louis, Ryker, Renée, Marina and Ashley."

"Cool. Which one's got which power?"

"We know that Marina's got water but nothing else."

I intervened. "Nothing else what?"

"Hydra has experimented on you all. They have wiped all your memories of it, and they were going to wipe all your memories and replace them with fake ones when we got to you guys." Jessica told us.

"What did they experiment on us with?" Ryker asked.

"We don't know. We do know, however, that you guys can each control one element." Noah grinned impishly.

Renée shook her head. "Nope. That's impossible."

"Is it? Marina?"

I remembered what she had done at the base. The water thing.

Frowning, the girl reached out her hand and produced a ball of water. When she dropped her hand, it disappeared.

Renée was silent.

"Right. Now we need to find out what the rest of you can do." One of the men grinned. "The four of us will be your trainers."

"Hang on, hang on. Before we get ahead of ourselves. Where are we and how long have we been missing?" I asked, stopping everyone.

"You're on the World Watch, WW for short, Air Base. You were just at the Hydra Pacific Base, which we have sent teams to destroy. It has been three months since you were taken." the man said. "Oh, I'm Brandon, by the way. That's Mark."

We all nodded except for me as I thought for a second.

"Wait," I said. "If it's been three months... Then I'm fourteen! Ha-ha! Um. Do our parents know we're alive?"

"Yes. And they understand what's going on. They have been warned not to tell anyone anything." Mark said.

"Cool. When do we start?"

"Now, if you want."

We ended up in a training room on the lowest level of the WW Air Base.

"Renée, Ashley. You come with me." Brandon told us.

We followed him to a separate padded area.

Marina followed Jessica, Louis followed Noah and Ryker followed Mark.

"Alright. Try doing what Marina did before. It doesn't matter if you don't get it today." Brandon told us.
