Sugar dissolves
on my tongue.Chocolate hugs me,
and its warmth trickles
down my back as it melts.My sensitive teeth battle
against gelid ice-cream—
each bite's worth the pain.* * *
If I am what I eat,
then that must be why
some call me sweet
and others call me
Fruitcake.
