kihyun walked towards the lobby and gave them their credit card, boki trailed behind him with defeated steps.

suddenly the hunger was gone and replaced by shame and stomachache. "you didn't answer to me boki-ssi... - jooheon arrived her side – why are you on a date with this bitch?" he asked, soon forgetting where he was.

boki looked at him, her eyes filled with both pain and anger. "i don't even know you so i don't see why i should be giving you explanations." she said turning on her heels and walking out of the café.

kihyun followed soon not before turning around and glaring at jooheon, shaking his head in disapproval.

"boki-ssi!" he exclaimed, trying to catch up with her but she was walking faster down the sidewalk.

"boki!" he exclaimed again, grabbing her arm, stopping her from going away. "please... forgive him, he's - he said shaking his head – he is... reckless and lacks a filter." she noticed his chest going up and down faster, he had run after her.

she looked down and suddenly her eyes filled with tears. kihyun sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, a sign of frustration. "come on, let's go to my car, is here close. i'll take you home." he said with a sweet voice, trying to convince her.

she thought about it and knew the ride back would be uncomfortable, especially after all that happened moments ago. "it's okay, i can return by myself."

"of course not. i have my car with me, i can take you, it's not trouble at all." he said with a reassuring look.

she hesitated for a long minute but then agreed.

his car was parked on the café's parking lot. he opened the door for her and rushed to the driver's seat.

the first 5 minutes were completely silent. boki was primarily ashamed because jooheon had exposed her. she was trying to avoid talking about the romantic-relationship-situation right now.

"listen... i am really sorry about jooheon, he's.. embarrassing sometimes."

boki sighed. "it's fine."

kihyun glanced at her, as he took turns to also see the road. when there was a traffic stop, he took time to completely look at her.

"are you upset because we encounter him?"

she turned to look at him. "did you know he was working there?"

kihyun's eyes widened in shock. "no. of course not... how would i know? he can't keep a job for more than a month. he's always switching jobs." he said shaking his head in disapproval.

boki sighed in relief. it had been building up in the back of her mind the possibility of kihyun knowing about jooheon's job.

kihyun looked at her with worried eyes. "is it... because of what he said?"

she turned to look at him with alert eyes. "about minhyuk?" she asked.

kihyun frowned. "minhyuk?"

"yes... my boyfri- ex boyfriend." she corrected herself. kihyun was frozen on his spot.

"you had a boyfriend?"

in that moment she wanted the earth to swallow her. she couldn't picture a worst scenario.

yoo kihyun was the last person with whom she wanted to discuss things about her break up. "yes."

he sighed, looking back at the road, the light had turned green. "you don't need to talk about it if you don't want to."
