We had just finished Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The credits at the end of the movie were rolling. There had been many screams from Nick. I laughed every time he screamed.
"Well. That was good?" Nick says but it is more of a question.
"Yeah. I love that movie." I answer.
"Of course you do." Nick chuckles slightly. I yawn.
"Are you tired?" He asks.
"No. I am wide awake." I say sarcastically.
"I'm wide awake, yet I was in the dark, I was falling ha-"
"Please. Do not sing. I beg of you." I plead.
"Ok. So, we have a guest room. You can sleep in there."
"Alright then. Lead the way." We get up from his bed which we were watching the movie on. My phone rings.
* Wake me up when it's. all over...*
I look to see who it is. Dad. "Are you serious?!" I all but yell.
"Umm. I guess you should answer it." He says. I disagree.
"No. I don't want to. I will just let it ring."
"It is like 11 pm. If he did not want to talk to you, he would have waited until morning. I think you should answer it. But I cannot make the choice for you." Be leaves the room so I can decide. I answer.
Me: "Hello?"
Dad: "Hey. Your mom passed out. I am taking her to the hospital. I think she drank too much."
Me: "Wait. What? Ya think?"
Dad: "Yeah. Well, I think you should come. Before she blacked out, she said your name. Like it was the one thing her life depended on."
Me: Yeah right." I scoff. "Like I should believe that."
Dad: "Ya don't have too. It is true though. Please you have to come."
Me: "All she has done today is treat me like shit!"
Dad: "Ok well it is your decision. Choose the right choice."
