he nodded. "so this was your... job interview?"

his eyes widened as he adopted a fight-mode. "yah! what's wrong with this job? it's a honest job... i am working and earning my own money, not like that snake of boyfriend of yours that receives a monthly allowance from his father-

"yah!" boki complained, hitting his arm. "stop it." she added.

jooheon glared at her but then sighed. "i am not judging your job... i am just surprised of seeing you here, that's all."

"yeah well... i wasn't expecting my first night to be screwed like this either but-

"wait a minute, why are you saying this?"

jooheon stared at her with a poker face. "i am assuming that psychopath of boyfriend you have is coming tonight, isn't he?"

"no he's not coming – hawon stared – he's not invited. right?" she then turned to look at boki with inquiring eyes.

"what? no! i didn't invite him... i know you guys don't like him."

"thank you!" the remaining three answered in unison.

boki shook her head. "stop talking about him when he's not around please... he's my boyfriend now."

"ah what a great thing – jooheon said – he's my boyfriend now." he said copying her.

boki shook her head in disapproval, the other two laughed. "come on puffy cheeks... relax a bit, what can i get you?"

she rolled her eyes at jooheon's endless nicknames. both hawon and wonho laughed. "i want a beer." wonho said.

"i want a cosmo." hawon replied.

"just... anything." boki said looking away, trying to avoid jooheon's eyes.

"aren't you going to write down our order?" wonho asked.

"na-ah... i have everything i need right here." he said pointing at his own head. "be right back... it was a pleasure meeting you." he said winking and disappearing towards the bar.

"he's nice." hawon said with a smile.

"yeah whatever." boki said.

with that, the band came out from backstage and they started setting up the instruments and doing some sound check before they finally started playing.

hyungwon walked out of the backstage looking dashing with a pair of black tight jeans, a black turtleneck and a leather jacket.

he had bright pink hair and looked definitely manlier and taller than the last time boki saw him.

"this song is dedicated to my childhood love who is in the crowd tonight. the song is called red boots." hyungwon said as he looked around the people sitting. his eyes met boki's for a second and he smiled, saluting her like in the army.

boki frowned soon to receive a playful hit from hawon. "maybe yuna is around." she said to boki.

she turned around as she tried to find yuna but it was hard to find since there were plenty people. boki remembered yuna as a nice girl and hyungwon's girlfriend back in high school so she thought it was obvious he was referring to her but she was nowhere to be found.

"are you sure she's here?" she asked hawon but once they started playing, their voices merged with the sounds of the electric guitar and the drums.

boki felt her body moving to the crazy rhythm of hyungwon's songs and soon her eyes made contact with jooheon's who was walking towards their table.
