Mitch's POV
I gritted my teeth as one of Ronnie's men walked over to Olivia. I watched as they untied her and slowly patted her down. She looked at me and sent me a soft smile.
"Please," I said softly. "Don't do this."
She sent me a wink before turning towards Ronnie. I held my breath as Ronnie charged Olivia. He tried to get the upper hand but she instantly reacted. I smirked when I noticed that she was counteracting every move he made towards her. It was like she knew exactly what he would try. Just like with all the other assassins my first day at the Barn.
I looked down at my wrist to see the rope was fraying from me moving my hand. As they fought, I continued to move my wrist to loosen the rope. The rope was about to break when I heard a loud thud. I looked up to see Olivia had pinned Ronnie to the ground and was sitting on top of him.
"Do you remember that move?" She smirked down at him. "It's the same one I used three years ago to put you on your ass."
"I have to give it to you, G. You are pretty strong," he laughed, making no movement to try and get out of her grasp. "For a bitch," he sneered as he pulled a knife out and stabbed her in the stomach.
"No!" I yelled. I watched helplessly as she struggled to breathe. Ronnie rolled them over so he was on top with the knife still in Olivia's stomach.
"You've always had a weakness and you always overlook it," he laughed as Olivia tried to breathe.
He twisted the knife causing her to let out a painful scream. Her scream made me jump, also causing the rope on one hand to finally fall off.
I noticed the knife Ronnie had originally thrown aside not too far from me. I reached my foot forward and brought it closer to me. I reached down and strained to grab it. I started to cut the rope off as I heard him whisper, "You always keep your word."
I froze as he pulled the knife out with one smooth motion before standing up, the bloody knife still in his hands. "I don't," he smirked. He turned on his heel and started to leave.
"You're wrong, Ronnie," Olivia gasped out in pain. He scoffed as he slowly turned back around.
"Oh yeah?" He challenged.
"Yeah," she said as she pulled out a gun and quickly shot him. I looked over just in time to see him fall through the doorway. I looked back over at Olivia and watched the gun fall from her hand, her hand falling lifelessly to the ground.
"No!" I yelled again as I finally cut through the restraints. I tossed the knife aside as I ran over to Olivia. I gently picked her up and pulled her into my chest.
"It's going to be okay," I said shakily as I pressed my hand to her wound. "You're going to be okay."
"Mitch," she said gasping in pain.
"I'm here," I whispered as I tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Go."
"What?"
"Go," she said a little louder. "That shot. . . I didn't kill him. He still has the bomb. You have to stop him."
"I. . . I can't leave you, Olivia. I won't." I shook my head as I held her closer to my chest, slowly beginning to rock us back and forth.
"Mitch," she said weakly, causing me to look down at her. "You have to stop him."
"If I leave you," I said my voice breaking, "you'll die."
"If you don't stop him, thousands of innocent men and women will die."
"Olivia," I said my voice getting caught in my throat. She reached up and cupped my cheek in her hand.
"It's okay," she whispered.
I hesitated, not wanting to leave her behind. "I can't," I stuttered. "I'll lose you and I. . . I can't do that again. I can't lose someone I. . . "
She suddenly pulled me down to her and pressed her lips to mine. The kiss was short and soft. "I love you," she whispered as we pulled apart. I looked at her with wide eyes, about to respond, but she continued talking.
"You have to do this, Mitch. We can't let him get away. I'll be okay," she said.
"But," I stuttered.
"Rapp," she said, cutting me off. "Go."
I couldn't speak so I just nodded. I carefully helped her sit up against the wall, making sure she was as comfortable as she could be. I was about to stand up and run off towards Ronnie but I hesitated.
"Rapp," she started to say. I cut her off by roughly pressing my lips to hers.
I pulled away and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "I'll come back for you. I promise," I said before running out of the room.
Olivia's POV
I clutched my stomach as Rapp ran after Ronnie. I looked over at my unconscious father before painfully laying down, my hands pressed to my stomach.
"Go get him, Rapp," I mumbled as the darkness took over.
