ONCE Imagines/Preferences (Requests Closed)

Hey y'all! It's been a long time since I last published an imagine. I'm sorry for that, but I just don't have a lot of time to write because I'm in my exam year and I've been going through some rough things, which aren't fixed yet, but there's being worked on that. But I finally got the motivation to write and actually finish an imagine, so I hope you like it!

[Y/N] POV.

A group of demons where chasing me through the dark woods. They were shouting my name and calling me names. I wanted to scream, but no words came out of my mouth. I ran and ran and ran. Until I was forced to stop. The line of trees ended and I was at the edge of a cliff. I turned around and saw the demons coming closer. The only way is to go forward, which means that I have to jump. I can't let the demons win. Not when I've been trying to get rid of them for so long. I took a deep breath and let myself fall into the dark space of the cliff. My mouth became dry and my arms where trying to grab something to hold on to, but there was nothing. My body hit the ground and when I looked up, I saw the demons lurking over the edge of the cliff. The next moment they were gone. A voice began to call my name, I couldn't place the voice, my body filled with pain. From the corner of my eyes I could see something shimmering. I turned my head to look at it and saw that I was someone. I couldn't recognize them, but they kept on calling my name. The person walked closer to me and began to shake my body. What are they trying to do? The person said words, but I couldn't understand them. I closed my eyes, took a breath and I could feel my mouth opening. I don't know if it was my voice, but suddenly I heard somebody scream: "I can't take this anymore!!"

I shot up in my bed and looked around. The light on my bedside table was on and Regina was sitting beside me, her arms around my body. I could feel my that my cheeks were wet and my lips were dry.

"What happened?" I looked at Regina. She gave me a small smile and kissed my temple.

"I think you had a nightmare, I could hear you screaming and I came as soon as I heard it. I tried to wake you up, but you looked so far gone... And then you screamed that you couldn't do it anymore and then you woke up." I nodded and leaned into Regina's embrace. The two of us had met back in the Enchanted Forest. She was on a late night walk, trying to clear her head and I was running away from home. My parents had put me up with an arranged marriage. I didn't even know who they wanted me to marry.. The only thing I knew was that he had a lot of power and that he was very old. I had ran into Regina and she gave me a shelter and a shoulder to cry on. We quickly became close friends and that didn't change. Even when the whole town was cursed, we were inseparable. But the curse had a downside for me, the demons and voices in my head.

"Do you want to talk about it with a cup of tea?" I nodded and she got up. "I'll put the kettle up." She walked out of my room and I smiled after her. I'm happy that I got someone like her, someone who will always listen to me when I need to get something of my shoulders and who knows that I'll do the exact same thing if they ever need that. Regina came back into my room with two cups of tea.

"Thanks for putting up with my bullshit again, Regina." I told her after I told her about my nightmare. She shook her head and made me look at her.

"It's not bullshit and it's literally no problem for me to listen to you when you need to get something of your chest. That's what friends are for." I nodded.

"But we're not friends, are we?" She looked at me with a confused look and I smiled at her. "We're family." She laughed and nodded.

"Yeah, we are!" We got under the covers of my bed and slowly I fell into a peaceful sleep, which was needed.

Again, I'm sorry for not posting in a long time. But I'll have more time to write soon (hopefully) and I have more motivation to actually write, which I'm happy about.
