Tony Stark X OC: What We've Been Through.

A/N: I'm going to admit I cried a little after writing the last chapter. I really could use your guys' feedback, it's really hard to find ideas and I could really use some help. Thank you for reading!

Emily's POV:

I woke up the next morning in a daze, I didn't know where I was at first and thought I was back at home with Lilly. I went downstairs to find Tony and all the memories rushed back in, I broke down and started crying right there. "Hey, it's okay," Tony said walking up to me, "She's gone and it's all my fault," I said through tears. "It's not your fault. Nobody could have seen that coming, it just happened," he said wiping my tears. I calmed down and went to the table to eat, I looked around for everyone at the table and only saw Peter. "Where is everyone?" I asked him sitting down. "I don't know where anyone is except for Thor," he said. Just then, Cap walked in looking ruffled and blushing madly. A few seconds after Cap, Bucky walked in with a smug look on his face, I smiled at the fact that they had finally realized their feelings but it was an empty one. Natasha walked in with Bruce and sat next to me, I was waiting for a little longer and then Tony came in with food. Loki, Clint, and Sam walked in and sat down, then, after a while, Thor had joined looking like he hadn't gotten any sleep. The others looked at him in confusion and I realized they hadn't found out about Lilly yet. Then very sudden Peter blurted, "Wait a minute, Emily didn't you go home last night?" And that's when everyone started to realize that I was still there when I had "left" last night. "Yeah, I was going to but then something happened," I said my eyes tearing up. Great now I'm gonna cry again, I thought while looking down. "Where's Lilly?" Cap asked concern in his voice. I tried to answer but no sound came out, Where was Lilly? She isn't dead, that was all just a bad dream and any second Lilly's going to walk through those doors smiling, hug me, and kiss Thor. But I knew that wasn't true even though I didn't want to admit it, "Emily?" Cap tried to get my attention. "She's dead," Thor said rather harshly. At his words, I flinched, I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see Nat, her eyes filled with sorrow. At Thor's words, everyone had gone silent. I was still struggling to hold back tears that were threatening to spill, Thor stood up from the table and walked away. "My brother always had a tough time accepting things, I'm sure he'll come around soon though," Loki said standing up, "I'm going to go talk to him." I stood up as well suddenly feeling very nauseous, I ran to the nearest bathroom and leaned over the toilet. At first, I thought it had been a false alarm, but the next thing I knew all of my breakfast went shooting into the toilet bowl. I heard the door open and close and felt a hand rubbing my back. I looked up expecting to see Tony but instead seeing Natasha, "You ok?" she asked helping me up and closing the lid of the toilet so I could sit. I nodded at her question and she hugged me, I rested my head on her shoulder and cried for what felt like the millionth time that day. She just sat there and waited until I was finished, "I'm sorry," I said. "For what?" she asked. "For being such a crybaby," I said trying to smile. "You deserve to cry, you don't need to apologize," she soothed. I smiled and wiped my tears, it was now that I noticed my leg slowly throbbing. I winced at the pain, "Your leg?" Nat asked. I nodded and she loosened my boot, "Better?" she asked looking at me. I nodded again and leaned back, there was a knock on the door and Tony's voice came from the other side, "Is everyone decent?" he asked. "Yeah," Natasha said opening the door. Tony looked at me with concern and asked, "You ok?" I mumbled a yes and started to stand up, Tony helped me and walked me to the living room where everyone else was sitting, they all seemed down now after finding out about Lilly. I sat down and noticed a paper and caught one word before Tony grabbed it. Funeral.  I knew this was coming so I took the paper from Tony. It was the plans and the list of people, after looking through it completely and changing a few things I gave it back to Tony. Guess I just have to accept what's happening. We all just kind of sat around the rest of the day.
