?Alive but Dead inside? (Eddsworld x Reader)

(Y/N)'s POV

Too fazed from the incident, I laid  silently on the terrace floor I touched my lips,  a sighed escaping from it.

Looking back at the incident felt weird in my stomach like a high school girl feeling flutters in her stomach...

" do you hate me?" The same words from Matt kept echoing in my head, making me feel bad for no reason.

I clutched my hair having a handful while pulling it after looking back at what happened.

I stared wide eyes at Matt as he stares down at me. I didn't know what to do but kept my breath in trying not to move as possible.
His faces was inches to mine and I can already see his blue orbs shining at me.

We kept still on that position till Matt finally sighs and lets go of me, warmth slowly fading away from my cheeks at I didn't know I was blushing too hard. Matt ruffles his hair and starts walking to the door to leave.

"If you need me I'll be down stairs" he says dully.
"O-okay" I stuttered and turn around to face outside. "I think I died a little" I whispered to myself.

giving out a sighed I let go of my hair trying to get back to the problem I had earlier, dammit Matt I never felt like this on you when I was disguised as a guy, why does he have to blow it for me  I thought finally getting up from the ground even if my legs felt numb. I looked back at the view I had earlier some eaters swarming around some others even found old meat to eat, I shivered but put on my guts to finally get outside and hunt the two. But I can't just go alone even if it pains me I need Matt's help on this no MATTer (sorry I had to) how awkward it'll be.

"Matt! feed Ringo We're gonna head out!"

Tom's POV:

Our footsteps was the only thing I could hear echoing  as we walked silently around the sewers, it was also accompanied by the calming drops of water from the top of the sewer, by now we entered another pathway hoping it's near our building . Edd hadn't used any bullets yet that was a good sign for me, I was glad he only used the gun to hit the zombies with it although I lost my knife from the earlier attack. So as sad as I can say it, I stood closer behind Edd to protect myself from any attack that comes near us.

My leg wasn't a help that it burned every time I run, my hand stopped bleeding tho that was good for me, we don't need anymore blood paths that could lead someone to us. 

"Tom you okay back there?" Edd whispered to me not taking his eye around our eerie surroundings.

I glanced at him seeing how focused he is for our safety of course he has to.

"yeah..." I muttered. "Edd has the sewers been this dangerous when you were down here?" I asked whispering to not get any attention around us.

"Not really, usually it happens during early mornings" He said shaking his head. "I'm surprise we even got into this type of trouble..."

I nodded, our conversation had to stop as we saw a three eater devouring seems like a  dead blonde girl. The girl had her eyes wide open as her cheeks were thorn her teeth bloody and her position on the floor only had more of her blood pour down. I stopped analyzing as I felt my stomach turn upside down.

"Let's just slowly pass it" Edd whispered to me not wanting to deal with this trouble.

I nodded at him, we silently walked away from it, I looked back at the scene seeing that the girl was flinching a bit as her hand twitched with her movements. I frowned at this and tried to ignore that the girl was still alive and feeling every moment her guts was being pulled and bitten on. I never felt so scared so so scared of even being caught by any of those things, it made me shiver and cry.

"Edd let's hurry, I wanna get outta this hell" I said unconsciously.

Edd looked back at me and sighed. He probably doesn't know what to say cause he only walked faster and ignored what I said. I shook my head and jogged up to him. We eventually got passed them and started walking silently again. Til Edd stopped walking, I halted along behind him catching an eye on a steel ladder attached to the mossy brick walls and right above it is a manhole shining down light from a post light.

"we need to get out of here" Edd said turning around "and that up there is the exit, but..."Edd trails.

i glared seriously afraid that I know what he about to say. But unexpectedly he gave me the gun he was holding and glared sadly down at me.

"I have to get up there and see if  there are those things up there, have the gun I cant risk to get surprised and accidentally waste a bullet" Edd said " also while I look up there I could see if were near our building or not"

I can't disagree on this even if it could also risk Edd's life even if Edd knew it he would still do his plan anyway, and this plan could work out if we're lucky enough to not be heard by those things. I sighed and nodded Edd gave out a nod back and start to climb, as he got to touch the manhole he looked down at me.

"if anything happens, kill me don't hesitate and kill me but don't shoot me it could attract them" Edd said before lifting up the manhole.

I held in my breath, Edd looked around narrowing his eyes before shutting quickly the manhole taking his hand away from it. My heart raced seeing that a zombie slowly walked on it.

"its clear just a few of them out there we can run pass them" Edd said looking down at me.

I glared at him "And you want us to do that? Edd I feel like you have a death wish sometimes" I told him "Can't we wait till the sun raises?"

Edd shakes his head and looks up at the manhole. "We could do that but (Y/N) would think that we're already dead" he said giving out a really good point to me.

Glancing down I thought of what he said, but the more I think of it the more I felt terrified of doing what he planned. We have a high chance of death than making it to the other side from what we have right now. But something crossed my mind to agree to this dangerous plan of Edd is that I wont take this long to give her the cure she needs.

"Fine who runs first then?" I asked gulping down my fear and clutching the gun I'm holding.

"Easy, we can't use the gun well not yet" Edd told  me I nodded to this and loosen my grip on the gun "alright since your leg is injured it's clear that you should be ahead so when something attacks from behind doesn't get to you"

"what about when it attacks me in front?" I asked him.

"hit them with the gun, and hope that the others doesn't hear it" Edd said going down the ladder. "c'mon we have till daylight when (Y/N) starts thinking we're already dead"

(Sorry for the slow updates, I have received some of my grades a few days ago and it looks like school has a well disappointment look on me. I failed most of my subjects and I need some time to push it up but don't worry I'll try to update as soon as I can)
