[<Mikasa's POV>]

As soon as I stepped into the isolated building, chills ran through my spine. I had a bad feeling about this, but I have to do this for about few months at least. As soon as I find another job, I'm getting the hell out of here.

As the doors closed shut behind me, I saw nurses with clipboards, chatting.

"Let go of me!!" I heard a female scream in a anger as she struggle to free herself from the two doctors holding her. "Calm down" they told her.

I quickly picked my pace and ended up in a dark hallway. The lights flickering on and off, empty wheelchairs, cracks on the walls, and some broken windows.

"I should've listen to you, Jean" I mumbled, looking around, regretting ever stepping in here. Some nurses rushed past me. It reminded me of Petra.

Then my heart stopped as I felt a hand on my shoulder. Without looking, I grabbed the person's wrist and was to elbow the person's face.

"Wow, calm down!" she said, covering her face. I stopped my attack.

My eyes slightly grew wider over seeing a familiar person, Petra. I sighed in relief. "Oh it's you, Petra" I said, releasing her wrist. She was more startled than I was, "Yep. Remind me not to scare you again" she giggled. I chuckle lightly.

"Yeah, sorry" I apologized. "It's fine, I mean I don't blame you. I was like that when it was my first day here" she chuckled.

"Yeah. This place seems like it can't be trusted" I say. "I know, but never judge a book by its cover, ya' know" she said.

Oh, I am judging. Can't believe I almost attacked her. Well, defending myself. Shouldn't of acted quickly.

"Anyways, have you told your boss about my arrival?" I asked. She nodded, "Yes, I told him about you and he somehow recognized your name" she said.

I tilted my head, "My name?"

"Yeah, something about being the most strongest soldier in the Military. You were in the Military?" She asked.

"Yeah, but that was a few years ago" I answered. She was greatly astonished, "That's amazing"

I sometimes miss serving in the Military, but I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life, or wasting my time there, sure I'll be doing something good there but I needed a life to live.

"If you aren't too busy, would you help me find the office or your boss?" I asked politely, hoping she isn't that busy. "Sure, come this way" she started walking down the dark hallway, I followed.

As I passed through the hallway, I passed by steel doors with a small window to be able to see inside the room.

I continued walking. Soon she stopped in front of a big door with a sign saying 'Office' and in the bottom 'Erwin Smith'.

"He's in there, good luck" she said and left. Is that a bad thing? Why did she say that? Whatever, here goes nothing. My hand reached the door knob, twisted it and pushed it open.

There he was, sitting in his big chair with papers in front of him. He was too muscular for that suit, it made me giggle but I holded it back.

He had blond hair that he kept neatly parted on the left side, icy blue eyes, and very think, bushy eyebrows that almost made a small giggle escape my lips, but I holded it back.

He looked up, "Mikasa Ackerman, I am right?"

"Yes"

"Please, sit down" he pointed at the chair in front of him. I obeyed and sat down. "I've been informed about your presence. Tell me, why would you want this type of job, and be honest"

Should I tell him the truth or something that will convince him to hire me? A little bit of both. "Well, I've heard that the Mental Hospital needed more hands, so I decided to give an extra hand" He raised an eyebrow.

"I do enjoy helping others, but I'm almost in need for money" He had his eyes on me as I spoke, "So I came here" I added.

He stood up and went around the table. He was pretty tall. "I see" he simply said. I nodded in response.

"So you're doing this just to helping others and money?" He questioned. "Yes" I say. Then he stood behind me, "Not for something else?"

I shook my head. "What a shame" he said as his fingers landed on my right shoulder and slides to my other shoulder. What's he doing?

The way his fingers slipped through my shoulders, like if I'm just one of those woman who sleeps with every man she sees. I swear if he doesn't get his fingers off me, I will rip them off. But I holded back.

Then his fingers went up to my scarf and later my nape which sent shivers down my spine, and later touched my short black hair. That's when he crossed the line.

I quickly stood up and faced him, "Look, if you keep touching me without my permission, I'll break your arm" I threaten He smirked.

"Feisty. I like that"

"And deadly, so don't screw with me" I warned, making my hands into fists. I may look like any other women, but I've been trained and no doubt strong. I've been known as 'The Girl worth 100 soldiers' or ' The Girl who has the strength as 100 men combined'

That smirk he had on his face made me want to punch him. He saw anger in my eyes and giggles lightly. "You're different" he says.

I raised an eyebrow, "Always have been" I say.

We had our eyes locked on each other, but I just wanted to break him. "You're hired"

"Huh?" He walked back to his chair and sat down.

"I like that fire in you. I'm impressed. You got the job" he said as he sticked out his hand for a handshake. I gave him a handshake.

"Really?"

"Of course, You have a attitude that no one else has here. I believe you'll be good at this job. I wonder what else you'll be good at?" He questioned in a sensual tone.

I rolled my eyes, not even caring if I'm rude to my boss. "You'll start next week on Monday. I'll be waiting for your arrival" he said.

I stood up and quickly went out the door. That was so uncomfortable. I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair.

I didn't bother looking for Petra, I just wanted to get out of there. So I made my way to the front doors and walked out.

A cold breeze passed by. Damn, it's gotten colder. I checked on the time, it was 9:56 a.m.

I started walking through the dead grass, but as I walked, I felt eyes on me the whole way.

I was for sure it wasn't my boss, it felt different. I turned around and no one was there. I quickly picked up my pace, and that feeling of someone watching me hit me.

I didn't even bother turning around, I quickly went inside my car and drove off. I was glad I was out of there.

But I'll come back on Monday. Damn.

To be continued......
