Four long weeks has passed by and Mikasa was already getting warmed up to the job.  She found it not as bad as she thought it would be, yet that doesn't mean she can fully trust this place.  There are still things she doesn't know about.

Right now Mikasa was on her way to drop off a tray of food to a patient.  Mikasa knocks on the steel door and slides open a little window built for dropping off food to the patient without opening the steel doors.

“Armin, your foods here” she gently says.

Throughout her four weeks of working there.  She was able to be friends with one of the patients.  And that one patient is a boy her age named Armin Arlert.  At first Mikasa didn't know why a innocent boy like Armin would be in a mental hospital in the first place.  He's really sweet, caring, sensitive, and kind. But sometimes, he shouts the word ‘titans’ and starts going out of control.

Armin claims to be having visions were there are giant creature eating people and the world ending.  It haunts him and it's only getting worse.

Erwin has told Mikasa that she will be incharge of him from now on, if she chooses to.  Of course she didn't refuse, she agreed since she does want to indeed help him.

She feels bad for him.

Mikasa knocked on the steel door a few more times.  “Armin, your food is gonna get cold if you don't eat it” Mikasa said.  “Mikasa?...Is that you, Mikasa?”

Mikasa was the only one Armin felt comfortable being around with.  She doesn't yell at him to be quite like most nurses do. She's gently.  But, as Mikasa says, she's different from most women. And he could totally agree with that.

“Yes it's me, Armin.  Now come and eat your food”

Mikasa waited patiently and soon he appeared from the other side of the steel door and grabbed his tray.  “What is it?” He asked as he looked down at his tray. “Stew”

Armin placed his tray on the floor and started to eat his food.  Mikasa was about to walk away, until a familiar scream caught her attention, “Mikasa!” Armin suddenly shouted.  Mikasa quickly looked through the small window, “Armin”

“Titans!  No!! The world is ending!  I don't want to die” He whimpered as he started to break down in tears.

Without hesitation, Mikasa opened the steel doors and ran over to him.  She kneeled down and hugged him, “It's okay. Nothing is gonna happen, okay?” She told him, trying to make him stop crying.

“Mikasa, I don't want you to die!  I don't want my grandpa to die!” He cried.  “No one's gonna die. It's okay, I promise” and by that he stopped crying.  Mikasa quietly shushed him.

Mikasa gently grabbed both his hands and told him, “Why don't we go outside?  You need some fresh air”

“But…”

“It'll be fun” she added.  Armin thought about it for a moment and later nodded as he wiped away his tears.

Mikasa guided him out of his room and headed outside.  “Mikasa...There’s titans outside...” He gently warned as be pointed outside.

“No there isn't, Armin.  It's okay, I won't let anything happen to you, okay?” He smiled innocently.  Mikasa opened the door to the outside. The bright sun was out that made the eyes of Armin widen, he was astonished.  Many patients running around and playing with each other. Armin smiled and ran off to play.

Mikasa smiled sweetly.  For a moment, she imagined her own child running around and playing happily.  She sighed in sadness as she believed that will never happen.
