          Connor's Pov:
Everything was going perfect. Moose and I were riding in the Uber I ordered and chatting about the team we currently had, pointing out the ups and downs of each and every player.
"What about that new Clyde kid? He's pretty good." He smiles. "He's got a great arm."
I laugh. "Eh, he's okay, but not really all that good."
He shook his head. "I think he's amazing."
I shrug. "Again, he's okay. Moose, have you forgotten what real talent looks like?" I snicker.
"Yeah, Just like me!" He laughs.
"You know, I was talking about myself." I smirk and roll my eyes happily, Moose laughing loudly at me. Times with Moose were amazing. He had the same kind of humor as I did. The car pulls right up next to the bar.
"You're paying, right?" Moose looks at me and lifts a brow.
I nod and pay the man, getting out of the car and shutting the door. I stretch my legs a bit, this bar was a thirty minute drive from my house, and as an athlete, I love to be moving around all the time. Being crammed in a car was something I hated. I love walking along the city streets, even if the air sucks, the people suck and well, a lot of things suck.
"Come now, Connor." Moose smirks and grabs my hand, pulling me inside. I run a hand through my thick brown hair and look around with my currently sharp hazel eyes.
"Gosh Mathew, where are you taking me?" The other shrugs and pulls me into a separate room that was a bit quieter than the rest of the busy pub. There sat our coach, the pitcher, and a few others. I look at Mathew who looked down at me at the same time. We each smirk and sit on either side of the pitcher. Normally, I wasn't the type to pick on others, especially someone as sweet as out pitcher... but with Mathew around, I couldn't help it.
The pitcher looks up from his menu and looks on either side of us, he sighs and sets it down, already expecting what was about to happen.
"Dude, why don't you ever stick up for yourself?" Moose asks and grabs onto the pitcher's hand.
The pitcher glares at his hand and just allows it to happen, waiting for Mathew to let or more dialogue.
"You're pathetic." With that, he lets go and walks off. I blink and sit there for a minute before following. "Wait, seriously? That's all the smack talk you've got?!"
He simply smiles and shrugs. "Yeah, honestly I'm not really in the mood right now... I thought I was. Maybe when the rookies arrive I'll be in a better mood. Hm?"
We hear some footsteps coming towards us and look back to see the coach. He grabs us each by the elbows, since Moose was really tall it would have been awkward to grab him by the shoulder.
"That's what I've been needing to talk to you boys about..." we hear the deep voice of the coach mumble. He had obviously already had a drink, since the smell of alcohol laced his breath.
Mathew looks down at him while I keep my head straight forward.
"You are not scaring off my batch of rookies this year... they were pretty hard to obtain. You have no idea how many college games I had to go to so I could have these guys..." He glares from Mathew to me. "Got it!?"
"Yes sir." We say together boredly.
"Good... then play nice boys." He pats our backs before leaving to go back to the rest of the team.
Mathew scoffs. "What's the big deal? Bullying rookies is like a tradition! Plus, it helps us get the tougher ones." He smirks. "That's what the team did to us when we first came."
I shrug a little. "It's a different coach. Now come on, I need a drink." We both take a seat at the bar, Mathew ordering the strongest beer possible while I just get a casual bud light. Moose goes on his phone and blinks a few times.
"That little punk kid messaged me earlier."
"What? Really? What did he say?" I ask and grab onto his phone, reading the message over. I look up at him and smirk widely.
"What?" He asks and looks down at me. "I'm just going to go pick him up."
I laugh. "No! Man! This is the time to pull of the BIG prank!!"
He looks down at me, eyes widening a bit. "Wait, like right now?!"
I smirk and nod.
"Well... what's the plan?" He stares at me, eyes still a bit wide.
I laugh a bit and start to type on his phone, my smirk only grows as my fingers tap on the phone. I send the message and laugh, giving Moose a pat on the back. Moose grabs his phone back and reads the message over, his jaw now dropping. "Dude! That's really... really big! Maybe even over the top!" He looks down at me.
I only shrug and smile... they're gonna have a blast.
