Toni woke Cheryl up at around 9:30 the next morning. When she was growing up, she always woke her grandfather up at the crack of dawn so she could open her gifts.
"Merry Christmas babe, wake up."
"Jesus Toni, it's to early for this. Just give me like 10 more minutes?"
"I'll get up and make some coffee. But cmon Cher, it's Christmas! My favorite day of the year. Please?"
"Fine TT. This is only because I love you. Besides, I can't wait to see the look on your face when you open your gifts from me."
Toni and Cheryl got up, and Toni made them both coffee. After she was done, she went in and handed Cheryl her first present.
It was a small wooden box, that were engraved with Cheryl's initials "C.M.B"
"I think you're going to love this, and I think I'm officially the best girlfriend ever, Blossom."
Cheryl opened the box, and sitting in its place, was a silver ring, with a bright red ruby sitting right in the center. The ring had the date they started dating engraved into it. Cheryl was in shock. She loved the ring so much, and immediately slid it onto her ring finger.
"Toni, I- I love it so much. And I love tou so much. It- It's just the best gift I've ever gotten. Thank you so much. I don't know if this can top that, but here. Merry Christmas."
Cheryl handed Toni a medium-sized velvety box, and opened it up. It was a necklace with an Earth pendent, and a ring around it.
"Ok, so let me show you how to use it. You put a flashlight up to it, and point it at a wall. Try it."
Toni followed Cheryl's instructions and held the necklace up against the wall. When she shone the light on it, words appeared all over the wall.
"It says"I love you" in 100 different languages. I felt like one language wasn't enough for us. Do you like it?"
"Oh. my God babe! I freaking love it, thank you so much. I love you."
After they opened up the rest of their gifts, Toni was surprised at how much stuff Cheryl got her. She had gotten her a brand new camera, some new flannel shirts, some chocolates in her favorite flavor, raspberry, and concert tickets for the two of them to her favorite band since she was little, Green Day. She remembers telling her about how her and her grandfather used to dance around through the house to "American Idiot" or how that was basically all she listened to during her "rebellious phase". She just loved how caring and thoughtful Cheryl was, and how she always paid attention to her.
Cheryl absolutely loved her gifts from Toni. Some of her other favorite gifts from her were a gorgeous pair of earrings. They were little red hearts that had both of their names on them. She also got her a "Sweetener" sweatshirt, because Cheryl had an unhealthy obsession with Ariana Grande, but she was starting to listen to more Green Day for the sake of Toni.
After they finished opening their presents, Toni had one more thing for Cheryl.
"Okay, so this isn't really much of a gift, as it is a question, but whatever. Now you don't have to agree to this, but I've wanted to ask you this for a while. Cheryl Blossom, will you join the Serpents? I just thought that since you're friends with some of the Serpents, and you live here with me, you'd like to join. There is one really stupid, sexist, and totally outdated rule though?"
"I don't have to kill anyone do I? Because that's kind of a dealbreaker for me."
Toni laughed. "No. You have to do a dance, of sorts."
"What kind of dance?"
"So at the Whyte Wyrm there's a stage that always has the curtains shut. But once a month when they get new female "recruits" they have a special ceremony, where all the Serpents are in the audience, and the girl is on the stage. So basically, there's a pole behind the curtains, and the recruit has to strip for the audience. Unless you're born into the Serpents like I was, you have to do the dance. I was there when Betty did it, so you can ask her for advice if you'd like."
