Re: Final Communication

Dear Sir,

(Note to chronicler- this final message is being recorded solely for the purpose of completing the file in Lord Wormrot’s records, as the chance that the recipients will be alive to read its contents are practically nil.)

As you have guessed by now, the Zombie Priests are following prior instructions given to them by the Lich King before they departed to ‘assist’ you. They were entrusted to keep all workers associated with the creation of Unholy Temple, including you, under close scrutiny until the structure was complete.

The Lich King is greatly excited about the completion of his new temple and should, by now, have arrived on site for his inspection. Unfortunately for you and the other employees of Dynamic Dungeon Designs, LLC, the rumors that Lich Kings execute the builders of the their tombs is quite accurate. The elimination of laborers, such as yourself, has proven the only safe way to insure the secrets of the construction remain unknown. Knowledge of the temple’s defenses, traps and hidden treasure rooms must be guarded with the utmost vigilance.

I am certain, with the level of professionalism you have exhibited so far, you will understand this and accept your fate peacefully. Any assistance you can provide in insuring that your human compatriots conduct themselves similarly will be appreciated.

In honor of your noteworthy service, the Lich King will display your corpse in a prominent area of his new temple and surely will think of you often as he walks the halls you helped construct. He has assured me that, due to his respect for your work, your passing will be as painless as possible.

Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the Lich King’s final dealings with the Dynamic Dungeon Designs sales department. As the Lich King has always had a very low tolerance for marketing and sales people; their suffering was exquisite and prolonged.

Their painful end at the hands of the Lich King is the reason why they never responded to your plea for assistance. By the time your message arrived, they were already well on their way to an eternity of suffering.

In regards to the message sent to the Red Court, the Lich King is well connected in those corridors of power and has insured that no action will be taken by the Imperial Guard or royal court that might alter your fate.

Had this been a situation where you had been allowed to live, the Lich King would be honored to recommend Dynamic Dungeon Designs, LLC to his undead friends and business colleagues. They would certainly benefit from your professionalism and attention to quality in their personal construction projects. Yet, considering your most imminent demise, I am sure you will understand he must direct his valuable time towards more worthwhile tasks.

It has been a keen pleasure conducting business with Dynamic Dungeon Designs, LLC and on behalf of Lord Wormrot, I thank you.
