Mia's POV
A month had passed since the fire and Ive recovered slowly ever since. Today also marks a month since Hetty and I first got together which were marking by having a picnic date. I was excited because I knew it was going to be fun especially with the fact that we are having chocolate donuts, it's kinda became our thing; we'd have Chocolate donuts after every date we have.
"This looks like the perfect spot" Hetty suggested as we found a oak tree which was going to shelter us from the sun.
"I agree; not too hot and theirs a lot of shade under this tree" I smiled, Hetty placed down the picnic basket and the pair of us got the blanket out and carefully laid it down on the ground.
"I've brought the chocolate donuts" Hetty beamed happily sitting leaning up against the tree.
"Our usual double chocolate chip donuts with chocolate glazing and rainbow sprinkles?" I asked Hetty biting my lip knowing it would be.
"Is that even a question?" Teases Hetty
"Definitely not; I shouldn't have to ask when it comes to our donuts" I chuckled. The pair of us unpack our picnic laughing about everything and anything; telling each other weird jokes which were pointless.
"Okay what about this joke" Hetty began after popping a chocolate covered strawberry into her mouth.
"Go on I'm ready" I smiled grabbing a carrot stick and taking a bite in the process.
"I dreamed about drowning in a ocean made of orange soda last night" Hetty pauses with a faint smirk on her face
"It took me a while to work out it was just a Fanta-sea" Hetty laughed happily, I couldn't help but smile and laugh along to her beautiful laugh.
"Your a idiot" I laughed.
"I am not" Hetty laughed back at me while we went back and forth lagging and joking with one another. I rested my head on Hetty's legs after we had been laughing and taking for what seemed like forever.
"I wish we never had to leave this moment, just me and you" I said in a hushed tone.
"This could be our place; our spot" Hetty resounded also in a hushed tone, I looked up to her while smiling, her beautiful eyes shining in the sun and her smile making you smile even more than you thought was possible.
"Our spot is perfect" I whispered closing my eyes to just enjoy the sound of birds chirping and being with my girlfriend.
"Hetty have I ever told you that I loved you" I smiled still with my eyes closed.
"Well you may have told me once or twice" Hetty grinned as I opened my eyes.
"Well I'm telling you again. I love you Hat' I love you more than words can even describe" I beamed, Hetty leant sown while i reached my head up and we kissed each other.
"I never asked; how's your wrist?" Hetty asked while we packed away our picnic things to head back into the village.
"Better, can't wait to get this cast of and finally be able to get back to normal" I chuckled, I hadn't been able to do much for myself with the cast but I was so ready to.
"When are you getting it off?" Hetty asked me.
"Two weeks time, I wish it was Tomorrow though" I laughed as we made our way into the village after a perfect chilled afternoon.
