Not When The Parents Aren't Home

You were introduced to Jaebeom through a mutual friend that worked with you, as he had thought the two of you were compatible. He was right. The two of you had been dating for a month now.

One weekend you were out on a date with Jaebeom, at a lovely Italian restaurant. After the delicious dinner, he dropped you off in his car.

He stopped infront of your parents house.

Yep you were still living with them at the age of 26. It didn't bother you, though others found it odd. You were their only child and only when you got married is when you would get your own place with your partner.  

"My parents aren't home. Want to come in?" You asked Jaebeom, noticing your parents car wasn't in the drive.

You thought you already knew what his answer would be. Like any other guy you dated in the passed, who was eager to finally be able to step in your parents house without them being around, to kill the mood.

"No. I don't think it's a good idea for me to come in, without first meeting your parents. I'm sorry. Maybe next time?"

You sigh and turn to him. "Why'd you have to be so..." you sulk and sigh again.

"That's mean" his eyebrows furrowed as he pouted at you. "Also you already know if it was down to me, I would have met them and asked if I could date you first, but since you didn't want me to, I respected your decision." He chuckled a little.

You roll your eyes "So are you blaming me for you not being able to come inside right now?"

Jaebeom leaned over and took your hand. "Hey now. Come on. You know I didn't mean it like that. My parents taught me good etiquette. One of them being this."

You realised you were being a little rude. "Sorry!" You quickly apologise. "I just don't want to part so quickly"

Jaebeom leaned over the handbreak and kissed your cheek. "I know. Niether do I. But like I said... next time." He let your hand go and stroked your hair which was down in soft curls. "Talk to your parents and arrange a time and date and I'll come" He smiles.

"Fine~~ okay" you blushed a little from the kiss. You were about to open the car door "wait.. let me-" he was going to go around and open it for you like he always did from the day you two met.

"It's fine I can do it myself." you open the door

You head to the front door, taking out the house keys from your side bag.

When you get inside the empty house, you suddenly feel a wash of loneliness and begin to mumble to yourself how annoyling perfect Jaebeom is, but then you quickly tell yourself you love him.

You sat alone on your sofa bored out of your mind not knowing what to do. You let your head drop back on the sofa, looking up at the ceiling and sigh deeply.

Suddenly your phone rings.

You take it out your bag and see the ID name. It's Jaebeom calling.

You picked up.

"Hello? Its only been 7 minutes. You can't have reached ho-"

"C-Could you open your door please? It's cold!"

"What are you doing outside my door????" You hurry to your feet and open the door, looking at him confused as he's stood with the phone still to his ear.

"W-What? How long have you been standing here?" You end the call.

"5 minutes."

"W-Why? What's goi-"

Suddenly Jaebeom takes a step into your house, taking your face in his hands, leans down and kisses you on the lips.

You are taken by suprise as you kiss him back.

He pulls away after a couple of seconds, his arms wrapped around your waist.

You look at him confused but smiling.

"I couldn't leave.. knowing you were mad at me. I'm sorry it has to be this way, but I want to do it right and I want your parents blessing."

"Oh gosh Jaebeom! You are something aren't you?" You chuckle and wrap your arms around his neck, hugging him close. "I wasn't mad for too long."

You move your head away from him and look up at him giggling. "Do you realise you've just stepped into my house!"

The look on his face. His eyes buldging "let's hope your parents don't decide to come home early"

"Oops" you quickly let him go when the two to you hear a car pulling up the drive way.

"Spoke too soon" you chuckle.

You hear Jaebeom sigh. "Wow... not the way I was hoping to meet them." He quickly steps out of the house. You saw his face go a little red even in the darkness of the night.

You go to stand beside him and hold his hand. "I'm sure they'd love you. Stop acting like you just took my virginity infront of them!" you made a joke to try and lighten the mood.

He rolled his eyes at you chuckling.

"Honey! What's going on? Who's this?" Your mother said cheerfuly as she got out the car towards the two of you.
