Y/n's POV
"How are you feeling?" A voice asked from behind me. I had been laying in bed, not able to sleep from the sudden events that had occurred recently.
There had been too many people killed.
Way too many people.
I felt Vision's warm hand on my shoulder as he sat on the bed beside me. He sighed and I could tell he was worried as well by its sound.
"Its going to be alright. I promise. I'll make sure you stay safe. No matter what." He comforted moving his hand along my arm in comfort.
I moved my position on the bed so that I was sitting next to Vision, his hand never leaving my shoulder. I looked him in the eyes, noticing he wasn't in his human form like he usually is when we are at home. He was probably worried about an invasion of the apartment complex which at this point, was becoming more likely.
"This was never suppose to happen. Nothing is going right. Thanos is already five steps ahead of us and at this point there's no turning back." I paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing. "What happens if he gets a hold of your mind stone Vision? What happens if-" I was cut off by Vision pulling me into a tight hug.
"Nothing is going to happen to me Y/n. I wouldn't be here today with as much happiness as you have given me without you. I won't let Thanos take me ok? It's going to be ok." He said with one hand behind my neck and the other around my back, holding me close to him.
I sighed, gladly accepting his hug with a yawn. Out of nowhere the thought that I was tired slipped into my mind.*
But I wasn't tired.*
All of a sudden there was a crash from the balcony in the living room, making me and Vision flinch. He pulled away from our hug and took my hand in his, guiding me off the bed with him.
This far into the war of Thanos, the police had left everything to the Avengers, saying 'these weren't the kind of tasks built for them, but for the Avengers' and ran off, so the usual option of calling the cops wasn't an option.
He looked deep into my eyes with worry and told me to stay hidden in the bedroom until he came back to get me. He said that if he wasn't back in ten minutes, for me to run as fast as possible away from the building. I had a lot of gadgets that I had built when Thanos first began his attacks and I intended on using them if anything got out of hand.
Vision gave me a nervous smile and kissed my cheek rather close to my lips. We hadn't gotten to the point of kissing but I smiled even through the situation.
I was worried about him.
"Hey. It will be alright. Everything will turn out in the end I promise."
The last thing I remember was a scream and a large purple man entering my room with a yellow gem added to his collection.
I screamed.
I was hyperventilating and I noticed the familiar shape of my room.
It was a dream.
Without warning, Vision warped through the wall into my room in battle form.
"Are you alright Y/n? Did someone break in? What happened? Is everything alright?" Vision began asking franticly rushing over to my side at the bed.
I sighed in relief, reaching my now shaky hands to my sweaty face.
He's alright.
There wasn't a break in.
As I touched my face I felt tears and quickly wiped them away sniffling in the process.
I quickly turned back to Vision with a smile on my face.
"Nothing happened I'm fine." I said laughing a little at the end in an attempt to make him believe me and to make me believe my words too.
"Your lying. You screamed for goodness sake. I can also tell by your increased heart rate." He paused laughing a bit, placing a gentle hand on my cheek before continuing "Your also terrible at keeping things from me."
I chuckled a bit before my mind flashed to my dream, making me look away from his beautiful eyes.
He shifted into his human form and sat next to me on my bed.
"You know you can tell me anything." He said placing a hand on my back in comfort.
He's so sweet. So kind. So caring.
I sighed once again reminding myself that he was ok and that I had nothing to worry about.
Not yet anyway.
"I had a dream. Thanos had come back and ruined everything. He took your Mind Stone and killed you." I shuttered at my words. "It was terrible."
He kissed my cheek setting his head on top of mine. Im so thankful for him.
"Don't worry. It's only a dream. Nothing will happen to me. If something were to happen to me I wouldn't be here protecting you. And who would I be without you?"
I smiled hoping his words would turn out to be true. We sat in each others arms for what seemed like forever beaming in each others presence.
I would miss him.*
I love you guys! You all are amazing! I hope you enjoyed the chapter! All will be explained eventually! Have a wonderful weekend!
