Recap:
He suddenly sunk out when no one else besides me was looking, mumbling something I couldn't hear under his breath. Why was he so mad? Was he even mad? Was he just bored? I don't know. I sigh. I think there's a lot about Deceit I don't know.***
Well, even if I didn't know a lot about Deceit, I'm pretty sure I figured how to summon him. By lying.
After the livestream, Thomas and the sides were packing up the filming equipment while I ordered celebration pizza for everyone. After everyone left and it was just me, I decided to test my theory. "I'm totally not all by myself!" At that moment, Deceit popped up in Patton's spot, wearing a casual outfit of blue jeans with black skull shirt and piald blue jacket.
A few seconds past in silence before Deceit spoke nonchalantly. "What." I put my hands on my hips, staring him down. I was not going to let this go until I got the information I wanted. "You know what. What was up with the livestream?" He raised an eyebrow in mock confusion. I threw my hands in the air in frustration, groaning. I put them back on my hips before responding.
"You just left in the middle of it!" I gestured outwards with my arms, this time returning to just rest at my sides.
He smirked, acting dumb. "Oh, did I~?" I narrowed my eyes. I was attempting to be imitating but I obviously wasn't. In my defense, I've never confrontational person by any stretch of the imagination. "Yeah, you did. Why?"I was trying act like I was sick and tired of his shenanigans but really I couldn't will away the way my heart was racing. He shrugged in response, a smirk still played on his face. "I got bored." I took a step forward. I crossed my arms firmly and leaned forward. "Bull. Tell the truth." His eyes widened for some reason. He looked to his left side and his smirk faulted slightly.
"I-I-uh... it really is that simple." I shook my head, uncrossing my arms. I was so focused on Deceit, I didn't hear the car pulling up at the house. "Yeah, yeah. You're the lying side. I know, but just this once." I raised a single finger to emphasize my point. He snickered coldly before again smirking at me. "But it wouldn't ruin the surprise." I took a step forward, very suspicious if what he meant.
What on earth was he plotting? "What surprise?" He shook his head, as if I was dumb for thinking he would actually reveal the surprise...I kinda was come to think of it. "Nevermind. I can't be honest, I just... it doesn't take a lot of energy to tell the truth." My gaze softened. It basically harmed him to be truthful and everyone didn't trust him when he was because they hated when he lied.
Yikes.
I completely dropped the subject, taking a hold of his shoulder.
"You might just not be used to it yet, like I am with being on camera." I put on the most warm smile I think I had given anyone, I swear I saw his scales go a little pink. He quickly tried to change the subject back. He threw his arms in the air, subsequently pushing my hand off his shoulder."I um... let's just back to-" I grabbed both his shoulders more firmly, pulling him slightly closer to me. Ok, now his scales were definitely a hot pink colour. "No, no, no, no! We're doing this now. Is there anything that makes you wanna be honest?" And so began the integration, not that you can really call it that since it was so short. I started and ended with the first question that came to mind.
I distantly heard a knock on the door.
"More like someone." He mumbled under his breath. It was audible but I couldn't believe what I heard. "What was that?" He couldn't of said what I think he had said. There was no way. He went a even darker crimson, his scales barely recognizable as yellow anymore. "I could be honest... for you." He leaned in slightly, most likely unconsciously but still.
A unfortunately familiar warmth engulfed my cheeks, painting them a similar colour to his own. I went questioned him immediately but... "Real-" I was interrupted with the unmistakable sound of someone coming down stairs. I immediately let go of Deceit, not wanting a repeat of what happened that morning. "Hey
Y/N!"Luckily it was just Virgil so it wasn't as surprising to see me and Deceit together as it might of been for Thomas or something. "Why are you yelli- oh. It's you." His eyes practically screamed distrust. Deceit snickered.
"A pleasure to see you too, Virgil, really." Virgil waved him off. God, they really didn't get along, not that it was really that surprising but still."Yeah, yeah. I think that pizza's here." He pointed to the door before walking over. So that's what the knock was! I felt stupid for subconsciously finding it super annoying. Not only that but I had completely forgotten about the pizza. "Oh! Right! T-that!" I did an awkward little dance before following him to the door. I stood by Virgil's side as he awkwardly tried to talk to delivery person.
I guess he thought pizza was worth it. I'm not saying it wasn't but you know.
I looked back at Deceit to see a slightly angered face, almost jealous looking. The hell? That's really random. It looked like the exact same face as when he left the stream. "You too." Virgil cringed at himself, that's the worst thing you can say when someone tells you to enjoy your food. We invited everyone down stairs and a small pizza party.
I don't know when but at some point Deceit just disappeared. I think it might of been the time I was joking around Virgil but I really don't know.
Still really don't understand that snake.
