"Jeff?" I asked in disbelief. I watched as his eyes started to widen in realization. He sat up with a malice filled gaze.

"That little jack*ss he stabbed me! Imma kick his *ss!" Jeff started to recover his memories, and he looked enraged.

(Quick explaining. Jeff is immortal, right? Well I might be wrong, but in my story he is. Remember that invincible people can't be killed, but immortal people can (just in case you get mixed up between the two) Anyway, so if Offender did this to a regular person, than they would have only lived for one more year, but since it was Jeff he will continue to live forever. Okay back to the story.)

Offender looked up, and jumped a little like he was shocked to see Jeff. I was shocked as well. He was out cold a minute ago!

Jeff shot straight up, but then groaned in pain and clutched his stomach, falling back onto his butt.

I just watched, still trying to apprehend the situation.

"Don't move! The pain should go away completely like nothing happened, but the wound will stay and scar. But in order for that to happen you have to be still." Offender said. He looked a little proud.

"Why do I feel so f***ing weird?" Jeff asked, clueless. He kept on glancing at the demolished building, anger clouding his eyes.

"You got stabbed right when the building was about to blow, but the girl grabbed you and shielded you from it. You lost too much blood because you didn't get instant treatment and you kind of.. died?" Offenderman tried to explain it best he could.

"No." Jeff said in disbelief, "That only happens in d*mn fairy tales! How the f**k am I alive?"

"Well that beautiful lady sacrificed a year of her life to bring you back." Offenderman gave me a flirty look, and I shivered slightly, looking somewhere else.

Jeff was silent, the anger he had earlier ebbing away. I hadn't seen him look so lost before. He always seemed like he knew exactly what to do, so confident. But right then, he looked terrible.

He had burn marks all over his arms and legs, and a scorch mark across his smile. His eyes were dazed and he looked off into the distance.

I didn't look damaged in my human form, I could just feel the stiffness and the burning sensation on my body. It wasn't horrible, but it was distracting.

"Let's get as far away from here as possible. Then we'll rest." I finally broke the silence. I stood up, wincing from the pain.

"About that, I don't live too far from here. I should be able to make it back myself. Thank you for the help and I hope we meet again sometime." Offenderman smirked at me, brushing his hand on my cheek for a second before walking off.

I went stiff from the contact.

Jeff didn't look too happy with Offenderman, but he didn't say anything and got up.

"Does it still hurt?" I asked. He shook his head. I decided to leave him with his thoughts. He didn't seem like he was in the mood to have a conversation.

We walked farther into the woods, both of us deep in our own thoughts. I still couldn't believe I gave up three years of my life for him. The urge to go back to ALF or what used to be ALF was gone, thankfully.

We turned up at a good area to rest after a little while. I didn't want to walk too far. Besides, it was getting dark.

"I'll go get sticks." I announced as Jeff sat down to make the base of the fire.

"Alright." Jeff responded. That was the first time he talked since Offender told him I gave him some of my life.

I jogged off into the trees and picked up some twigs on my way. I gathered up a few sturdy big sticks too, along with a few pinecones.

When I finally decided I had enough it was dark. I hurried back because I didn't want to hear the whispers and feel the strange feeling, and I also wasn't in the mood with arguing with Jeff.

"Here ya go." I said, handing Jeff the sticks when I got to the camp. He tossed a few twigs and pinecones on the logs, then lit it with his lighter.

"Today was absolutely insane." I remarked, sitting beside Jeff.

"Yeah but at least that hell was destroyed." Jeff replied, "Felt nice to see it be burned to the ground."

"Mhm." I hummed in response. We talked for a little while before Jeff decided to say something that I never thought he would say.

"(Y/N)?" Jeff asked, turning to face me.

"Yeah?" I answered. He looked slightly strained and I wondered what was up.

"I suck at saying this but.. um.. Thanks for saving me back there?" he made it sound more like a question. I was shocked to say the least.

"You? Thanking me? Impossible." I joked with a teasing smile.

"Yeah, well, don't think too much of it." Jeff chuckled. We were silent for a minute, both of us lost in the others eyes.

My heart was speeding up a little as the gap between our faces decreased. Neither of us realized how close we had gotten.

I closed my eyes on instinct, Jeff's breath spreading across my face we were so close.

But then the warmth disappeared and I froze, opening my eyes. He pulled away quickly, looking the other direction and getting up. I blushed madly, looking away as well.

What the hell was I thinking?! I scolded myself.

"I'll uh be right back.." Jeff sighed, sounding stressed out. I nodded, trying to calm myself.

What was I thinking? Was the only question that repeated in my mind.
