"Welcome, Death Eaters. It's been fourteen years since we last met and yet you answer my call like it was only yesterday. We are still united under the Dark Mark, are we not?"
The Death Eaters were silent.
"I sense guilt." Tom ominously whispered, but his voice rang out on the silent night
No one dared move, no one dared to speak.
"I see you all, whole and healthy, with your powers intact. And I ask myself, why did this band of witches and wizards never came to the aid of their master —to whom they swore their eternal loyalty?"
The Death Eaters were more silent then the dead, all eyes either on the mysterious woman? or the black tile floor.
"And I answer myself: they must have believed me broken, they thought I was gone. They slipped back among my enemies, and they pleaded innocence, ignorance, and bewitchment."
The Death Eaters, especially the ones closest to the throne, looked down in shame.
"And then I ask myself, how could they have not believed I would have risen again? They, who knew the steps I took, long ago, to guard myself against mortal death? They, who have seen proof of the immensity of my power and knowledge that was mightier than any other living wizard?"
Again, no one spoke.
"And I answer myself, perhaps they believed that a greater power could exist, one that could defeat Lord Voldemort. Perhaps they now pay allegiance to another? Perhaps to that champion of Muggles, Albus Dumbledore?"
Suddenly, one of the Death Eaters threw himself forward to the Dark Lord's feet, "Master! Master, forgive me! Forgive us all!"
Lord Voldemort put him under "Crucio" and Walden started to scream.
After a few seconds he freed him from the curse, the man lay panting on the ground.
"Lucius Malfoy, my right-hand," The Dark Lord said, all eyes going to the blond man, "I am told that you and your family have not renounced the old ways, though to the present world you are a respectable face. Are you still ready to take your spot by my side? Yet you never tried to find me, your exploits of the Minister were entertaining but your energies could have been out to better work seeking me out and aiding me to my return."
"My lord, your most loyal and I were constantly on alert." Lucius replied, "Had there been any sign from you we would have been at your side immediately, nothing could have prevented us-"
"And yet you attempted pawn off something I entrusted to you? I know all about that, Lucius, you have disappointed me." Lord Voldemort said, pausing momentarily, "I expect more faithful service in the future."
"Of course, my lord, of course." Lucius thanked, "You are most merciful, master, thank you."
"Many of us are missing, entombed in Azkaban, those who suffered prison rather than renounce me. When Azkaban is broken open they will be reward beyond their wildest dreams. The Dementors will join us, they are our natural allies. We will recall the banished Giants. I will have all my devoted servants returned to me and an army of creatures who all fear." The Dark Lord added, before looking to the person on his lap
"On more jovial news, I believe you all are dying to know who our special guest tonight is. You will address him as Lady Tenebris and you will respect and obey him as you do me. I will not tolerate any failure to do so, seeing that you lot have failed me once already. Those of you in the Inner Circle, we have much to discuss." Lord Voldemort said, sending the Outer Circle away...
