"Oh mother, finding true love is hard that's for sure. Brother and his mortal fiance are now married happily like a fairytale, and I thought I can't find my love, but now, I know who I really love. And please don't worry, I know he loves me, and I love him. We are always at each others side... and the story of how we came to be, like this... It is really..... something..... Such a story to recall from."

I glanced at the night sky and back at my mother's grave.

I smiled and let out a sigh. Feeling the cold breeze of the cemetery. I closed my eyes and relaxed. Until a cold pair of arms wrapped around me, the nice warm feeling of familiarity knowing who this person is. A little throwback of a flashback of our story replayed in my mind.

*le flashback*

I sat upside down on the branch of the wilted tree that I called home, near my mother's grave. I live in a cemetery, since I have nowhere else in Paris to stay and this was an abandoned cemetery, so it would be rare to find any humans here.

Feeling the heat from the sunlight I furrowed in deeper in my white wings, feeling the nice dosage of vitamin D.

"HEY LOOK! IT'S A VAMPIRE!"

Yelled a small male child pointing at me to his friends. Huh. How did they find this place? They're just children. Tsk. Parents these days are so irresponsible in handling their young children.

"THAT'S NO VAMPIRE! IT'S OUT HERE IN THE SUN! IT SHOULD BE BURNING THEN!"

Said a different child, whining at her friend. They laughed and still looked at me, while I just sat on my branch not moving a muscle.

"HEY!"

Yelled a different voice. This time, it was an adult, more husked and deep. Its him.

The children tensed up and looked behind them, seeing a man in such a bloody cloak. With a dark black robe, stains of blood are still visible.

"Who told you that this place is a playground for nasty little kids?!"

He yelled at the now scared and shaking children. He gritted his teeth, maroon coloured magic swirled around his hand as it summoned a scythe.

"W-WERE SORRY! WE'LL LEAVE---"

Without letting the child finish, he striked a blow and what leaves was a huge spill of blood and the headless bodies of 3 children.
