"Hi i'd like to report a missing person"
"Okay, please hold" the phone played crackerly music while the call was transferred. "Hello missing people unit"
"Hi i'd like to report a missing person"
"How long have they been missing?"
"Maybe 20 hours, I'm not sure"
"I'm sorry Ma'am but that's not long enough for a person to be reported Missing" the operator said.
"Please, she has a child. She left for work yesterday and hasn't show up. She hasn't answered any calls" the caller was getting desperate.
"I'm sorry Ma'am, there is not much we can do until 24 hours pass"
"Please I'm begging you. It's not like her to miss her Job, I haven't seen her and no one else has"
The operator sighed. This was how most cases started but also how most false reports started as well. Normally the person had been staying at a friend's or something and hadn't told anyone. "How old is she ma'am?" The operator questioned.
"Um, 35 I think, I'm not sure."
"Okay how tall is she?"
"I'm not sure, I think 5'7" the caller sounded panicked, stressed and the sounds of pacing could be heard. "What was she last seen in?"
"Uhm.. I think some jeans, dark jeans, a light coloured top and leather jacket."
"And, what's her name?"
"Lindsay, Erin Lindsay"
