Katie's POV

It had been a month since everything happened and I'm still trying to get past it, I don't think i ever will but with each passing day it gets a little bit easier. Captain Holt has give me the month off however i do go back next week and i still haven't found a babysitter for Hope, i have been looking but there hasn't been anyone i really like yet so I'm still looking. Jake and Rosa come over every day to check in on me which is sweet really but I mean its every day, bang on 7. I miss the squad i cant wait to go back to work and see everyone.

It was my first day back on the job since everything and I was in such a good mood since not only I get to see everyone again but I found the perfect babysitter for Hope. Her name is Lucy, she has been working in this job for five years and she has been spending a lot of time with hope so she gets use to her being around. Hope loves her. Right now its 7.30 and Lucy comes in five minutes so I go and make myself a coffee for work once i finish making my coffee there is a knock at the door. I go and answer it to see Lucy standing there with everything she needs for the day. "Morning." "Good morning Katie. How are you?" "I'm good thanks, your self?" "Good." "Okay so Hopes playing with her toys right now. You know where everything is, help yourself to anything in the fridge and have a nice day." I went and said good bye to Hope and then headed to work.

I pull into work and I'm the first one hear so i get out my car and head up stairs. As I'm walking up the stairs I trip up them and whack my face off the stairs so hard I manage to give myself a noise bleed. I'm walking it to the office and head strait into the bathroom being as carful as i can not to get blood on myself which with my luck i fail and end up covering my shirt with blood. By the time my noise stopped bleading it was 8.00 so i head backout to she Capt. Holt walking to his office. "Morning sir." "Good morning katie. Welcome back, may i ask why are you covered in blood?" "I tripped up the stairs to work giving myself a noise bleed." "Ah, okay. Your defiantly back." "Thanks." Holt went into his office and i finally sat down at my desk. I need something to change into... and i don't have anything. Of course. I pull out my phone and give Jake a call. "Hi Jake." "OMG! Katie your coming back today!" "I'm already here and morning Jake." "First of morning Katie, and secondly why?" "I missed it that's why." "So what can i help you with?" "Bring a spare t-shirt in with you please." "Okay, but why?" "I had a really bad noise bleed and got coved in blood." "Okay, but why me you could of asked Rosa." "Because I'm not the same size as her, she is tiny." "Okay be there late." "Better late than never." "Thank you. See its not just me who thinks that." "Right I'm gonna go Jake bye." "Bye."

Jake's POV

I hang up on Katie and get strait out of bed and get ready because i cannot wait to work with her again, yes i see her everyday but its not the same as working with her. Once I'm ready I go to the car before remembering that Katie needed a shirt so i run backup and pick her out a blue plaid shirt and leave the house again. When i get to work its 8:25 meaning I'm early which never happens so i go in and go upstairs. The lift doors open and I see Katie sitting at her desk and she runs up to me. "Please say you brought a shirt." I look at her top to see blood covering it, it was everywhere. I give her the shirt and she runs off into the bathroom to change then comes back out a couple minutes later in my shirt. She looks so cute in my shirt, so much better than i do in it. "Well, how do i look?" "...Amazing." I take her hand and spin her around. "Befing!" Everyone walks into the brefing room and takes there seat. "Good morning everyone. First of i would like to give Katie warm welcomeback to the nine-nine after taking a month off. Now Peralta give me an up date on the Lincon Place murder." "Meet Fred Gorman. Lawer and now corps. Now meat his wife June Spurr, she didn't take his last name but i think she took his life." "Nice." "Thanks Charles." "Okay Peralta, thats enough. I want King working this case with you since you two work so well together." "Okay then." "Dismissed." Katie gets up and leaves the precinct before i can talk to her, which isn't normal for her so i follow her to make sure she is okay. I follow her outside onto the street and she looks like she is crying so i walk up behind her. "Katie are you ok?" "OMG Jake dont sneek up on me like that. And yeah why wouldnt i be?" "Because it looked like you were crying, thats why." "I miss her Jake. Its not fair she was only 65 she didnt deserve to be taken out of this world." She starts to brake down into tears right there so i pull her into a hug and take her inside. We were sat down in the breake room for about five minutes until katie stopped crying. Once she did we go back out and go to the scean of the crime.
