when we first met

part 24

i go over to the plate my mom put paytons pancakes on and start writing "happy birthday payton" with the frosting on the pancake

i look over at my mom putting pancakes for me and her

i hear my room door open from upstairs so i run to the pantry and grab the candles with '17' on it and quickly poke them into the pancakes

(okay off topic but I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned any of their ages before and I'm lazy to check so if i did just pretend they turn 17 this year!!)

i gesture for my mom to come next to me

she smiles and runs over next to me with our pancakes and places them

i hear paytons footsteps jog down the stairs quickly

he comes down and his face is glued to his phone then he lifts his head up

that's our cue.

he starts walking over to us smiling and we start to sing happy birthday

"happy birthday to you, happy birthddaayyy happy birthday paytonnnn" we finish the song

he laughs covering his mouth "holy shit" he takes a seat on the stool and takes a picture of the pancakes

"thank you guys so much holy" he smiles getting up to hug my mom

"all her!" my mom smiles patting his back then walking away with her pancakes to the living room

he chuckles and walks up to me holding me in his grip giving me one of the best hugs ever

"thank you so much bunny" he pecks me between each kiss

i giggle at the memory of that nickname "no problem"

"happy birthday baby" i whisper pulling him in for a long kiss

we both pull away and just look into eachothers eyes then laugh and grab our plates and join my mother in the living room.

"come on! damon is so hot!!" i squeal making a fake moan sound as my mom and payton give me a weird glare

"hey! im right here!" payton puts his hand on his heart pretending to be hurt

i laugh and peck him then we all put our gaze on the television.

i grab my phone from my sweatpants pocket to check the time

"3:47 pm" i whisper

holy shit we did not just spend almsot 4 hours binging the vampire diaries!!

i get up and make my way to the bathroom and start to text lola

yo when r u gonna come

hmm, when r u leaving with p

not sure, I'll probably tell him right now and we'll leave around 5, dinner reservations r at 6!!

okay I'll text the guys to meet me at ur front door around 5:30 sharp!

i smile and wash my hands for literally no reason then go back outside to my mom and payton

"hi, payton i made us dinner reservations for 6." i smile at him

"no way mia you didn't have to do that" he smiles and gets up to hug me

he sways me right and left

about two minutes later i pat his back "cmon payton pleeeaasseee can we go get ready i wanna take you somewhere before the reservation" i smile extending the please.

"okaayyy" he extends the okay mocking me then pulls my hand and makes his way to the stairs

i look back and shoot my mom a smile as she returns the smile, she gets up and starts ruffling the couch

Soon enough payton dragged me all the way to my room
