"I had fun! I was also social," I made sure to point out.
"Really?" Meredith asked. I elbowed her good-naturedly.
"Did you start dating anyone?" Brian asked.
"Yes, I was social, and no, I didn't start dating anyone. I spend five days on set with Darren and you think I start dating?" I responded.
"Yes," Brian responded before dragging me to schedule the next week.
I went back to rehearsal the next day. We were running the last number which was difficult. Especially because Meredith didn't want to kiss Dylan. I didn't know what was up with her, but when Brian called for a break, I followed her to the bathroom. She was sitting down against the wall, crying.
"Mere, what's wrong?" I asked her, slowly reaching her and sliding down next to her. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."
Meredith kept crying. "Do you want me to stay?" I asked. She nodded. "I'm not going to force you to talk. I'm here if you need to talk or just the presence of someone."
She tried to talk, but cried even harder. I just hugged her more, trying not to hurt her with my cast. We sat there for about five minutes and Meredith was able to stop crying. "I feel terrible," she eventually said, her voice shaking a bit. She took a deep breath. "I don't know why. I would generally be fine, but today it feels against my morals. I don't know why."
"You can tell Brian, or I can," I offered.
"Would you mind? I'm just not feeling it," Meredith said.
"Sure. Do you want to wait a bit?" I asked her.
"Just a minute," she responded.
We went back after a minute and I pulled Brian aside. "Do you know what's wrong with Mere?" He asked me, concern floating around him.
"She's not feeling the kiss today. She doesn't feel like it's right for some reason. It's an off day," I said. I crossed my fingers. "So would you mind... not having her do it?"
Brian looked down and took a deep breath. "Sure," he said. I squealed excitedly and hugged him. "Okay, don't get too excited or else she'll have to. Don't make me do that to my wife."
"Okay!" I exclaimed in response, running to tell Meredith the news. She got just as excited and the scene was run a few more times flawlessly.
"Who wants to lock up tonight?" Brian asked, jangling the keys.
"I got it!" Dylan exclaimed, holding up his hand. Brian threw the keys right as Jaime jumped onto Dylan's back. He quickly adapted to her weight and then barely caught the keys in his left hand.
"Nice job, Saunders," Brian saluted before gathering us and leaving. I, however, got held up by Clark. "Don't hurt her or else Darren will have a hard time and her new boyfriend."
We both looked equally confused. "I'm in a relationship?" I asked.
"Yes," Brian answered as he left.
"You're in a relationship?" Clark asked.
"No! I think Joe talked to Brian about our conversation on the way back from the airport yesterday," I said, blushing a bit.
"Which was about what?" Clark asked.
"Dating," I mumbled, looking down.
"Who?"
"Chris Colfer," I said. I knew Clark was very shocked so he didn't hear when I said "and you."
"He's openly gay," Clark said. I threw my hands up in agreement.
"Exactly!" I started to walk away, my terrible social skills telling me that this conversation was over.
"Not so fast," he said, taking my waist and pulling me closer. I flinched noticeably. "Sorry, did I hurt you a lot? I'm sorry, I expected it to be more flirty."
I burst out laughing. After taking about thirty seconds to calm down, I spoke. "It hurt. Just because of... because of..." I hesitated. Sharing a first kiss with someone shouldn't mean that I tell them about my past....right? "My past," I mumbled.
"Hey, so um, I liked kissing you a lot and I was wondering if you wanted to like go out do something like a movie," he said. I had a small momentary panic.
"Okay. As long as it isn't super formal," I said.
"Good," Clark said. Before I knew it, he was kissing me. Again. Alrighty then.
"Well, um, I have to go before everyone freaks out. I don't think they thought anything through," I said against his neck. I was stuck in an embrace that he wouldn't let me go of. I didn't mind it, but I didn't know my feelings and I had to figure those out before we took this any further.
"Right, yeah. So, I'll text you?"
"Sure," I confirmed, running down the block to where my housemates waited expectantly.
"How'd it go explaining that you're dating someone else?" Brian asked.
"Okay, first, I'm single. And second, we're not a thing and I had to explain that I'm not in a relationship," I said.
"Spoilsport," Brian said, sticking his tongue out at me as I did the same.
"Children!" Meredith exclaimed, breaking up our fight as we started the walk back home.

Well, this has been only a few days. I'm back to normal, hopefully. Finals and AP Exams are rapidly approaching, so that's something.
