Chapter Forty Two

Start from the beginning

"Howd you know?" I ask him nervously.

"I heard you throw up in the bathroom a couple of times. You really think I didnt notice?" a smile plays on his lips. He must be paying more attention o me than I thought. Oliver's got the hint but Louis doesn't.

A blue car skidded in front of the building surprising me and Oliver. It's Louis' car. My chest pounded furiously. He's here? My suspicion's confirmed when he gets out of the car. It only took a matter of seconds before he barges in the building.

"What are you doing here?" I ask quietly in order for Oliver to not hear it.

"We really need to talk." he says, grabbing my arm and drag me out of the building. All eyes turn in our direction that I could melt away with the rain in embarrassment. He shoves my into the passenger seat and slams the door in my face.

I snap at him when he gets in. "What stunt were you trying to pull?!"

"You wanted to talk so lets talk!" he counters.

"You have a problem with timing, you know that?" I ask him sarcastically. He turns the key too hard that I thought it would break. He straps himself with the seatbelt then turns to face me.

"It's a gift." he says through gritted teeth then turns back to the road. I sigh in frustration then strapping myself with my own seatbelt, slumping on my seat.

I didn't say anything while we were on the road cause it might lead to a yelling contest. Although I notice he takes a different turn from the apartment, I didn't mention it. I sat there, completely baffled by his attitude. I'm surprised by his behavior although I suspected this. He can be so bullheaded sometimes, it's frustrating. He should work on that attitude.

It didn't also surprise me when he parks the car right infront of a small pub. He cuts the engines off and unbuckles his seatbelt. I sigh and do the same, getting out of the car before he locks me in again. I follow behind him with my arms crossed in front of me. He talks to the bouncer while I stood behind him. When he walks in, I follow like I'm sort of his tail.

We sit down in a booth, facing each other. A waiter comes to our table and takes our order. Louis orders a beer bucket. He doesn't expect me to drink too, does he?

"Milly and Harry are on their way." he says right after the waiter walks away. I notice the pub isn't entirely packed like the others in London. Especially the Central area.

"You're not going to get drunk this early, are you?" I ask him. He shrugs and stretches his arms across the headrest. I turn away and roll my eyes when he's not looking.

"What are you trying to do?" I ask. He looks up at the waiter when he puts the bucket infront of us with a bottle opener. He waves it off and pops open the cap using the other bottle. He puts the other bottle infront of me, I feel my throat swell up.

Is this the right time to tell him about the baby? Does he even have a clue about it?

"I have to be at work at 8 tomorrow, Louis." I tell him. That's a subtle way of saying 'I don't want to drink'.

"Your point?"

Oh god, don't be a jerk. At least not tonight.

"My point is," I say through gritted teeth. "I don't want to show up at work looking like a groggy zombie who used Budweisser as perfume."

He raises his eyebrows like what I said made no sense. Stupid excuse but that's the best and most reasonable I've got. A waiter passes by and I ask for a glass of water. We stayed quiet for a long time until Milly and Harry made it.
