Somewhere in Neverland ? Connor McDonough/ Before You Exit Fanfic

Julia's POV

        "Wake up sleepy head. It is day two of my mission to give you happy thoughts", Connor yelled into my ear and I flinched.

"It's time for hide and seek, right?

I was excited to do something a little bit more mellow that would calm me down a little from yesterday's thrill.

"Yep. But my version of hide and seek has a twist", he replied.

"Why can't we just play it normally", I whined.

"Because that would be boring", he whined back.

"Fine. What's the twist?".

"Both of us have to be blindfolded", he said holding up 2 scraps of cloth. One was green and the other one was purple.

"You're insane. What if I fall into the lake? What if I hit my head on a tree and get amnesia?".

"You think way too much", Connor said, examining his fingernails.

He handed me the purple one and I watched as he tied the green fabric around his head.

"You're insane", I said and his smile grew wider.

I decided to just go with it and tie the purple cloth around my head so that it was covering my eyes.

The fabric was quite thin but all I could see were the outlines of things around me.

"Ready?", Connor asked.

It was at that moment that I knew I was ready. It was time for me to change. I didn't want to be the same old Julia anymore. I wanted to be fun and adventurous just like Connor. I wanted to be what my mother had been hiding away from me for so long. I wanted to be Julia. The fun and crazy girl who wasn't afraid of anything or anyone.

"Oh Connor. I was born ready".

Author's Note

        Pretty short but I just wrote this chapter to make up for the Thursday that I missed. Plus, that seemed like a good place to stop.
