ADELAINE'S WHOLE BODY WAS SORE, but it didn't compare to the immense ache she felt in her heart. Her eyes were puffy and red from crying too much and her throat was parched from the lack of moisture. When morning came, she didn't have any tears left. She couldn't believe that after Michael told her he loved her aed nd they shared something so intimate that she would find out the truth about the Devil's plan for her.

As she thought about how the blond manipulated and deceived her, the hurt slowly turned to anger. She had loved him so much and wanted to give him the world. But he only gained her trust so he could accomplish his plan easily. He used her. The blond used her love for him as his weapon to get everything he wanted for her. The thought made her clench her fist in anger as she tried to fight back to urge to scream. She should've never believed anything he said. He was the Devil's son and the Anti-Christ. How could she think that he could be good? After all, he ended the world and killed billions of people. The saying was right after all: the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Looking at the mirror, Adelaine removed any traces of moisture and tear-tracks away from her face with a clean cloth. She used the little amount of beauty products she managed to salvage in the Outpost – a concealer, a hot pink lipstick and some black eyeliner. After all, she was Chanel now. Chanel wasn't Adelaine – no, she was stronger and didn't cry over anyone. She wouldn't let a lying bastard destroy and tear her apart from the inside. She had been strong for the past few years and she didn't need anyone to stay that way. Adelaine didn't need Michael. The part of her that needed him died a long time ago. She was different now. And getting the rest of her memory proved just that.

Adelaine walked towards her closet and picked out a less modest Victorian dress that hug her body perfectly. Then, she pulled her orange hair up into a high bun, highlighting her fair complexion and flawless skin.

Hearing the knock on her door, the ginger opened the door and walked out of her room, her chin held high. Michael would not ruin her. Not now, not ever. Gallant stared at her new get-up looking impressed as he walked by her side.

"Wow, girl! You look good for someone living in the Apocalypse."

Adelaine smirked slightly as she chewed on her lower lip, "I know right."

Coco excitedly clapped her hands together, "He's not wrong, you know! You really look good."

Tilting her head to the side, Adelaine raised an eyebrow at her "sister" but she didn't say anything in response.
