You (Dan Howell x Reader)

A/N: hey, a note at the beginning, weird. yeah, i've been gone for two months. i don't want to make this too long, so let's just recap why I've been pretty busy. firstly, as i said before, april and may were vEry stressful months for me. i had state testing, finals, and as usual, the stressful last day of school. (lmao) i've also acquired a new internet friend named lexi!!  LexiJo80 fun right?? well not so much when my parents found out, but all is good now. i also recently had to go on an 8 day trip with my family, which we went way far out and had basically no service. i recently thought of this story again, and thought i should continue it and get addicted. well, i'm gonna try and make this chapter the longest one yet. enjoy! (this section was written on june 3rd, 2019.)

p.s. idk if i've put the song above yet but - i've recently been so obsessed with spongebob the musical B) it's honestly so good, yall need to check it out. it sounds stupid, and i doubted it at first, but trust me, it's some good shit.

YOUR POV

You continue to stare at the smoke, panicking and running out of your flat, right by a confused Ashlynn. You run straight to Dan and Phil's apartment and furiously knock on the door.

"DAN YOU FUCKHEAD! I TOLD YOU NOT TO DO THAT!" You scream, as you launch through the door, Phil with the same energy as Ashlynn.

You see Dan sitting on the bed, looking confused, until he sees your phone, which is now on fire.

"WHAT? HOW THE HELL DID I FUCK UP YOUR PHONE ALL THE WAY FROM PHIL AND I'S APARTMENT?!" He screams, taking your phone and dunking it into the glass of wine he was drinking. Unfortunately, his sleeve also catches on fire, and he runs about the flat screaming, "DAN REALLY IS ON FIRE!" and then continuing to furiously dunking his burning sleeve into Phil's giant 'glass vase thing'.

You and Phil stare shocked and hysterically laughing.

"Oh yeah, Dan gets set on fire and it's just so funny." Dan says, himself laughing too.

"You're right, you really can't escape your old branding." Phil says, tears of laughter starting to form in his eyes.

"Okay okay, funny. But really Y/N, how did I manage to set your phone on FUCKING FIRE?!"

"You tweeting me, using my Twitter handle."

"You're meaning to tell me you didn't think to turn notifications off after dating a CELEBRITY?"

"Woah there, partner. Don't turn into James Charles up in this house with your 'oh I'm a celebrity' shit."

"Y-Y/N... You really went there..." Dan says, eyes wide with surprised and happy shock.

"Yes, I did. Why are you surprised?"

"I just never thought I would have a girlfriend that is THAT badass."

By this point, Phil has left, going to post the whole fire situation. Yes, he filmed it.

"Well, looks like you got lucky." You say, and sashay your way out of the apartment, making sure you look sexy and confident, whereas, on the inside, you are still internally freaking out about the fact that you literally just did a 'sexy walk' in front of Dan Howell.

DAN'S POV

It's the next day, and I'm still not over everything that happened last night. After Phil had posted the video, it went viral and he had gained 2 million subscribers in counting. Just one video later, he was level with me subscriber wise, soon to even take me over. I'm really proud of him. Socialblade even says that if he keeps this rate of growth, he'll have 10 million by next month. We even had our own little late-night party. 

Besides that, the entire Phandom is going insane from this new 'mystery girl' that has started appearing in my tweet, and then Phil's viral video. Like the Sherlocks that they are, they're already speculating Y/N and I dating. There are currently two hashtags, #DansMysteryGirl, and even some #PhilsMysteryGirl. Of course, Y/N and I wanted to keep our relationship as private as possible, but the Phandom just can't stop being our little FBI's.

I'm interrupted from my thoughts when Phil comes bursting through my door with his phone on the two hashtags I was talking about.

"Yes, I know."

"B-But Dan, they're number one and two on trending! What are we supposed to do?"

"I'm sure it'll all blow over some time."

"But this is the biggest it's been, Dan... We've never had this many people talking about something like this!" Phil says, now pulling up Reddit. "Look! People are even making memes of it and putting it on LWIAY. It's not too long until literally the biggest YouTuber of all starts talking about this."

"Good for the clout though, right?" I say, playfully nudging him in the stomach, as he is now sitting next to me in the bed.

"I guess, but you know that I've never really cared about subscribers."

"Phil, this might even help our financial situation right now. You know that ever since I've left YouTube for a while our entire branding and names have started to be forgotten."

"Yes, I know, Dan. All I'm trying to say is that maybe we should shut this down before it gets too big..."

"Do whatever you want, all I want is for Y/N to be happy. And you know that."

"Alright. I'll see what I can do." Phil says as he gives me a friendly hug and leaves.

YOUR POV

It's been three days since the whole 'mystery girl on fire' thing happened, and you and Dan have discussed 'coming out' to the Phandom.

You two are currently sitting at the park, holding hands, and just enjoying the beautiful spring landscape.

"Hey, you know that I don't care what happens, as long as you're happy, right?"

"Yeah... I just don't know what they'll say when they all find out that were dating. You of all people should know how insane they are. I was one of them once, and I remember shipping you and Phil... It was bad."

"Wait. What did you just say?!"

"I said that I used to be - oh shit." You say, realizing that you haven't told either Dan or Phil your 'big secret'.

"When I texted you that night you said - I really can't believe - after all of this time?!"

"Always..." You say in a small, quiet, voice.

"Way to quote Snape there, Y/N. But really, why did you think that lying to me was okay?"

"I was scared, Dan - I didn't know if you would still accept me after being a fan of you for so long..."

"I mean, knowing that now is really weird..."

"Exactly."
