The alarm started beeping early the next morning, the arms around me shifted as I went to turn off the alarm. I laid back down on his chest and looked up at him.

"Hey." I lightly caressed his cheek. He kissed the top of my head and squeezed me.

"Did you get any sleep?" I asked.

"No." Sebastian answered, "I only got a few hours at the most."

"Might as well get this over with." I said.
He got up with me, never leaving my side. He hovered over my shoulder as I out on my black uniform and put my hair back in what used to be my usual braid down my left side.

"Let me come with you." He insisted, takng my hand as we walked to the door.

"They won't let you in." I avoided Sebastian's sad blue eyes," Hayes is waiting for me downstairs."

"I'll be back before you know it." I said. He kissed my hand and pulled me in for a hug.

"I refuse to lose you again." He mumbled into my hair.

"Try to get some sleep, okay?" I said into his chest. I took him by the back of his neck and kissed him hard.

"I'll be back as soon as I can." I assured him.

The door closed behind me, I had this horrible feeling in my stomach, as if I was saying goodbye for good.

I walked down to the parking lot in a haze, I reached the black car in which Hayes waited for me.

"You okay?" Hayes asked as I got in the passenger seat.

"Yeah. I'm fine." I lied, I never minded my job when I had no one, but now I have something to lose, someone.

"Do you know anything about this?" I asked. He shook his head and drove in silence.

We reached the military base, I was saluted by all the privates and I saluted my superiors. I was walked into a meeting room with my superiors. I was shown files and arguments were held debating on the pros and cons. A whole debate among the most important people of the United States, just over me.

The meeting ended in two hours. everyone walked out, leaving me and my boss.

"You ready?" He asked.
I nodded, he tossed me a set of keys which I caught easily in my right hand. I looked down and saw the familiar small shiny Audi logo.

"Seriously?" I asked.

"I had it flown out just for you." He smiled, "Think of it as a going away present, enjoy."

I quickly walked outside, and got in the blue car waiting for me. I drove it back to Sebastian's apartment, parking it in the structure below, the elevator ride was much too long.
I almost ran to his door and unlocked it.

I closed the door behind me, expecting to find him in the living room waiting: Nothing.
I walked to his room and found him laying on his back on my side of the bed with a pillow on his face.
I walked quietly to the bed, I put my hand on his stomach, making him jump, tossing the pillow to the side.

"Hey! You're back." He said in surprise as he scrambled to the edge of the bed. He snatched something from the night stand and stood up quickly.

"Before you say anything. I have something to tell you." He placed both hands around the object, "I need you to know that I love you. It doesn't matter if you're halfway around the world. It doesn't matter if we don't talk for weeks. I need you to know that I love you and I mean it. I want to shout it to the world, set it in stone. I want you to be mine, as I will be yours, forever." Sebastian took a knee and opened the contents of a small black box, "Will you marry me?"
