The Spy

Alex's POV

    "Surprise!" Benny, Haven, Carlos, Cami, and Piper all popped out from behind the couch. A huge smile went across my lips. 

    "Awe guys!" I said. They all smiled at me. One by one each of them came over and hugged me. 

    "Piper I thought you were still in Brazil." I said when she hugged me. She laughed and hugged me tightly.

    "I was but I came back 2 days ago. Benny called me and told me that you will be coming home so I came over here fast." She said. I smiled up at her and mentally thanked Benny. 

    For the rest of the night we basically did random stuff. We played lots of games and watched a few movies. I had a great time. I missed these people so much. I just missed having people who will laugh with me and makes jokes. 

    After some time we decided to go outside to the apartment pool. Everyone got in, well besides me of course. I just sat on the side with my leg in the water. I watched as everyone laughed and splashed each other. 

    The moment I got into the accident I knew everything was going to change. I didn't quite expect it to be this big of a change. There are so many things I can't do now. I can't swim, I can't go on missions, I feel like I can't do anything. 

     I didn't even realize someone sat down next to me until they cleared their throat. I looked over to see Haven looking at me with a small smile. I pulled my leg out of the water and to my chest. Now that I am thinking about it why didn't Jacob come. He is probably over me. 

    "Why didn't he come?" I asked quietly. I knew Haven knew who I was talking about. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. 

     "He said we was busy. I tried to get him to come. I really tried." He said looking at me. I nodded and rested my head on my knee. I watched as the others splashed around all with huge smiles on their faces. It makes me sad. I used to love swimming now I can't even do it. 

    "Do you wanna get in the water?" Haven asked. I looked over at him like he was crazy. 

    "I can't swim Haven. Maybe with two legs but with one that is a no." I said. He shrugged and slid into the water. He looked up at me with a huge smile on his face.

     "I could always carry you." He said. I raised an eyebrow and gave him a weird look. I don't know if that would be the best idea. I mean what if he drops me. I could drown. I don't think death is a good thing for me right now so I don't necessarily want to die yet. 

     "Haven I am pretty heavy. I will probably break your arms and you will drop me into the water then I will drown. I am way to young to die and I have had way to many near death situations I don't need any more." I rushed out. He just laughed at me then grabbed me by the waist and pulled me into the water. I instantly wrapped my one leg around his waist and held onto him for dear life. 

     Haven slowly walked over to the others. As soon as we were close all of the talking stopped. 

    "Guys he is gonna drop me and I am gonna die. Just know that I love you all." I rushed out hanging onto Haven tighter. They all just laughed. Kenna disappeared to god knows where while the rest of us just sat there and talked. Haven kept his hands around my waist securing me so I do not fall which I am grateful. Kenna eventually came back but she sat on some of the chairs for a few minutes before setting her phone down and getting back in the pool.

    Getting tired I leaned my head forward and put my head on his chest. It was cold at first because of the fact of his chest being wet. A yawn escaped my lips as I struggled to stay awake. 

    "Are you tired?" Haven asked looking down at me. I nodded and yawned again.

    "Guys she is tired so I will take her inside." Haven said getting out of the pool. The others nodded and continued talking. Haven opened the door and made his way to my bedroom. Walking in I could tell he was trying to hold in a laugh.

    "Why do you have so many stuffed animals." He said trying hard to laugh. I shrugged. 

    "These were the last things my parents gave me so they go everywhere with me." I said. He nodded and laid me down on the bed. He walked over to my closet and pulled out a pair of shorts and a baggy t-shirt. 

     "I can go get someone to help you if you want." He said rubbing the back of his neck. I smiled at him and shook my head. 

    "It's okay. I can do it." I said and he nodded. He smiled at me one last time before stepping out of the room. pulling my bathing suit top off I slipped the t-shirt over my head. I didn't even care if I had a bra on or not. Sliding my bathing suit bottoms down was actually pretty difficult but I managed. 

    I managed to get a pair of underwear out of the drawer that was beside my bed. I slid them on pretty easily. 

    I grabbed the shorts and stuck one leg through but when I went to pull them up I fell forward and landed on the ground with a thud. My head slammed against the wooden floor which sent an instantly headache to my head. I groaned but the pain was unbearable.

     "Alex are you okay?" Haven's voice said through the door.

    "Haven help!" I said grabbing my head hopping the pain would stop. I didn't worry about him seeing anything due to the length of the t-shirt. Haven opened the door and looked around worried until his eyes landed on me clutching my head on the floor. He ran over to me a picked my head up so it was off the floor. He sat down in front of my head and put my head in his lap. 

      "Haven it hurts." I cried holding my head. This was worse then any normal headache. It was even worse than a migraine. Haven nodded and began rubbing a place on my forehead. The pain eased a little bit but it still hurt a lot.

     He stayed silent and just rubbed the spot on my head maybe for an hour. After sometime the pain was bearable and I finally stopped crying. 

    "Haven can you help pull my shorts up?" I asked him. Nodding his head he bent down and pulled the shorts up to the point where I could reach it after that I pulled them the rest of the way up. Haven picked me up bridal style and laid me on the bed gently. Looking over at the clock I froze. It was 3 am. I looked over at Haven and finally noticed how tired he looked.

    "It's 3 am Haven. You should probably get back and sleep." I said. He nodded and yawned. He made his way to the door but I stopped him. 

    "Haven thank you. Thank you for staying with me." I said. He smiled at me and nodded. 

    "What are friends for." He said with a huge smile before leaving the room. I don't have feelings for him but he definitely knows how to treat a girl. Whoever ends up with him will be very lucky.
