Chapter 53

"Well, he's a bit busy because he got promoted recently. And I'm busy in the hospital too, so we haven't hang out together. It also feels great to give him another chance, you know?" I said and took a bite from my food.

"Really? Nice to give him a chance? What about Jungkook?"

I shrugged, "We're just friends, that's all."

"Chaeyoung, what part of friends do you say: 'I'm falling for you'? That man was completely head-over-heels for you."

"It was just a phase, Lalice."

"I can't believe, after 5 years of moving on from Junhoe, you still cannot bring yourself to love someone who loves you more than himself," she sighed. "Think about it, Jiyoon is really attached to the man and she doesn't like Junhoe."

I rolled my eyes, "Lisa, it's just that Junhoe is the someone meant for me not Jungkook. That's how life works, you know. Speaking of Jungkook, where is he? I haven't seen him in weeks."

She wasn't looking at me and continued eating, "He's nowhere to be found."

"What?"

Lisa looked up to me and pointed her for at me, "Bambam said Jungkook was last spotted in Busan, they don't have any updates about his whereabouts. He changed number, Kakao lines, everything you could contact him."

"Anyway, back to you and Junhoe. Is this relationship healthier than the past one?" she asked. 

"I'm not so sure yet, we're both in a different position in life right now," I said and noticed a smudged on her lips. "Oh, Lalice, your lipstick smudged."

She looked up, "Really? Wait, I'll go fix it."

Lisa stood up from her chair and entered the bathroom. 

It took her minutes to come back and her phone was beeping. She left it unlocked and a voice in my head told me to look at it. 

So I took her phone and looked at who was messaging her. It was Sorn's step-brother, sending tons of pictures. 

I click onto the picture and waited for it to load. 

"Lisa, you have to tell her now. She's not going anywhere with that man!" 

Sorn's brother messaged her. 

I look at the photo and blinked for a few times. 

Hoping, believing it wasn't true. 

For the second time of my life.

Is this why Lisa went to see me today?

Chaeyoung excused herself from Lisa when she found out the bar's name. 

Lisa sighed and knew this is the best way to let her friend know that no one stays the same. Not even Lisa herself. 

She visited Chaeyoung because she was worried and she had enough of Junhoe making out with girls in the same bar for the past 3 nights. 

"That's right, Chae..go learn your lesson," she whispered and smiled, facing the window with the city light views. 

Unlike Jennie, Lisa was more passive. She didn't want to make her friend feel hurt with the words she spoke, but she wanted to give her friend a clue that what she was doing was wrong. 

Sorn's brother messaged Lisa that he found Chaeyoung entering the bar. Her plan did work. Neither of their eonnies new because if they did, they would be furious and tell her to leave Chaeyoung alone.
