Landons POV

I was walking up the stairs and as I was doing so I could smell the sweet scent of my mate getting stronger the further I continued up the stairs. As I opened her old rusted door handle, I heard shuffling signifying she was in the room but when I opened the door there was nobody but a piece of paper? I picked up the paper and started reading. Every.Single.Word. Had me feel more and more pain. She didn't do it! I knew she didn't and I drove her away! I didn't even give her a chance, my heart right now almost feels worse than it did when I rejected her. She's gone yet her scent is still here. Wait her scent is still here? And I heard shuffling when I got here! She just left! I can find her. I can find her. Those words rang in my head as I sent out all my warriors to search for her, and when I say all I mean every single last one. I followed along the exact line of her scent while some warriors followed close by and all the rest stood at every inch of where my land ends so she can't escape. I'll find her and I swear on the Moon Goddess I will make this right.

Sapphires POV

Even though I just left, I already needed food. I ate 2 apples and 3 pieces of bread and drank a whole water bottle, just as I ate all of that I felt my wolf slowly restore herself and perk up. I didn't know wolf healing was that fast.

Angelica.

Lexi!

Angelica they're looking for you, we need to get out of here.

Lexi I go by Sapphire now and who's looking for us?

Landon and ALL the pack warriors, his wolf told me.

And Angelica I will never call you Sapphire, even though it's our old nickname your name is still Angelica and you were called that for a reason. I will not go against her wishes.

I got up from the tree I was sitting at and shoved everything back in my backpack. I think I smell Landon getting closer.

Let me shift.

No I'm too weak still, talking is all I can accomplish for now.

Lexi, we will be fine, I promise.

I continue to shift into my wolf anyways, this is a dire situation and if we don't shift we WILL be dragged back to that house. I felt my bones start to crack and I'll be honest it did hurt a lot but not as much as I thought it would. I grew taller until I felt myself on four paws and looked at my beautiful pure white coat, nobody has ever seen a wolf like mine before and I'm oddly bigger than Alphas unless there's one I don't know about but Lexi tells me that I'm very special, and I trust her.

He's getting closer I can feel it! Let's go. I started sprinting the fastest my weak wolf legs would take me. Usually i'm incredibly fast just in this state, where my wolf did not even want to transform, I can barely go above a jog. I heard a heavy set of paws on my trail and sticks being crushed as we ran.

Angelica stop you aren't leaving.

Why do you give a fuck Landon?! 1 hour ago you didn't care about me.

Yes, I did I just couldn't do it in front of them, I know you could sense my pain.

Landon, I could sense your pain but if you can't love me in front of other wolves than you don't deserve to love me at all. Goodbye.

That was the last thing I said in our mind link before I cut him off, I then heard a very loud growl followed by more footsteps added behind me. I know that smell. Britney. No I can't deal with her right now, she doesn't deserve my time anyways. I sped up my run which was incredibly painful, and continued getting further away until I turned my head and saw Landon putting all his energy into this one last sprint before I crossed the border because after I cross he can't touch me, I won't belong to him, I won't belong to anyone. Freedom is right there.

CRASH

I was tackled to the ground by Landon, he had caught up while I was thinking and accidentally slowing down. He was sitting on top of me cuddling me but also showing who is obviously the dominant one. I'll be honest the sparks between our bodies did feel nice and I felt truly safe for once but I can't, I don't love anymore. I pushed him off me with my paws which really surprised him and we started wrestling on the ground fighting for dominance until he ended up on the ground far enough away from me to allow me to take off over the border of the lands officially labelling me as a rogue. Finally, a new beginning.
