**1ST IN ADRIENETTE 2020 MIRACLE AWARDS**
Lila's a lying little brat, but what if her manipulative tactics backfire on her when trying to get closer to Adrien? Gabriel Agreste, finding truth in the sly girl's words, believes maybe Adrien really is b...
Adrien stared at Marinette nervously and played with the ring on his finger as she spoke on the phone.
"Okay, love you, Papa! Bye!" Marinette then hung up the phone, putting it back in her purse.
"Can you come?"
Marinette nodded. "Yup, my dad said he'd cover my shift. Only for today, though."
"Yes!" Adrien fidgeted excitedly. "Can't wait to hug you again."
Marinette let a wild smile dance across her face. "Why can't you hug me now, silly?"
Adrien scanned the area. "Well, what if Chloé--"
Marinette shook her head. "I can handle her. I'm happy to give you hugs on and off the clock."
Adrien's eyes brightened as he threw himself into Marinette's arms. "Thanks!"
Marinette stroked his head. "Of course! You get an endless supply of Marinette hugs."

Adrien laughed, pulling away, leaving his hands on her shoulders. "Okay. I'll come back to get you in about forty-five minutes, alright?"
Marinette nodded as Adrien let go of her and ran down the stairs to his Chinese club. She went into the library to diligently do her homework until Adrien would return.
"Adrien has really grown to like you, Marinette," Tikki commented, poking her head out of her chosen's purse.
"I'd say so," Marinette giggled, settling down with her books at a table. "I'm just sad the boy aches for a hug twenty-four/seven. You think he's really been this lonely and I just couldn't see it until now?"
Of course, he is, Tikki thought, that's how Plagg likes his chosens. Lonely and broken so they will have greater fun as a miraculous holder.
"I suppose." Tikki told her. "But he has you to change that, now doesn't he?"
Marinette nodded, opening her textbook to begin her work.

After Chinese club, Adrien ran back upstairs to the library to find his pigtailed friend.
"Aren't you excited?" Plagg snorted. "Does it have anything to do with your not girlfriend?"
Adrien rolled his eyes. "Yes, Plagg. I'm excited to bring Marinette along. She'll make it less boring."
"Are you sure that's all?"
Adrien clicked his tongue as he turned a sharp corner. "Yes, Plagg, that's all."
Adrien entered the library, whispering Marinette's name until he found her with her nose in a book in the corner of the room. He went up to her and tapped her shoulder to which she shrieked and got him in to a position where she held Adrien's arm behind his back as she pushed him to his knees.
