Lucious
8:30PM
"You care to tell me what's going on?" Cookie said as soon as she walked in the front door. She dropped her purse on the ground and took her heels off. Not once taking her eyes off me.
"Was anybody following you?" I asked sitting down on the couch across from her. She slowly shook her head no and I nodded.
"So wha...Wait where's Lyric?" She asked while looking around the living room. "She fell asleep on the way over here. I layed her down in her room." I explained while watching her get comfortable.
Being in this big house by myself was starting to get lonely. I missed having the two of them here, I understand I hurt Cook. But can't she just give me one more chance to prove her that I CAN be faithful.?
The way she was looking at me made me feel like I was scum on the bottom of her shoe. It felt like we were staring at each other for hours, when in reality it had only been a couple minutes. I miss her...more than anything. Cookie was the full package. She has the looks, she's classy, she's book smart and street smart. She's educated, she can cook. She's amazing in bed, and will always hold a special place in my heart.
Not only did I want her back...I need her back. I hate coming home to this empty house. I hate having to wait days at a time to see our daughter. I gotta make things right.
"Aight Cook listen, Somebody's been fucking with my money. Ion know who it is but it's somebody that works for me. Whichever one of them it is, is working with and for ATL." I said leaning back while lighting the blunt that I had stuck behind my ear.
"So what does any of that have to do with me or Lyric?" She asked confusingly. Throughout this whole conversation I needed to be as calm as possible because I don't need Cookie worked up.
I sighed. "The reason ATL approached you and been watching you is cause, a few weeks ago I shot up his crib. Emptied two clips. He did sum foul and I returned the favor." I said blowing smoke out of my nose before continuing. "His baby momma got hit wit a bullet and his son got grazed by one." I said shrugging my shoulders.
"Lucious.." Cookie said faintly. "That's horrible. How can you be so heartless about almost allegedly killing his family?" She said as I watched the tears form in her eyes.
"Fuck that opp ass nigga" I said puffing the blunt.
"What if the script was flipped huh?! What if that was us?" She said wiping the tear that fell.
"Baby, I cant let him think he got one up on me! In the streets whatever yo enemy doing you gotta be ten steps ahead of em." I said and she sniffled. "
Then get out of the street life! It's too dangerous Lucious. Do something Legal!" She exclaimed while tears still ran down her face.
"Nah."
"My worst fear is getting that call saying they need me to come identify your body, or saying that you've been shot. Or going to jail....I can't take the stress of loosing you Lucious" She said softly.
"A nigga that's on my side is working with the enemy. Stealing money. Telling all my moves and fucking with opps. All ATL workers been killed or handled properly" I said before puffing the blunt again. "And he threatened you?" I chuckled "Yeah he gettin got." I finished. There was no discussion needed. I'm killing whoever I have too.
Period.
Whoever it is that's stealing from me, yet working with him is gon crack under pressure. I have a feeling I already know who it is but you never know. I put my blunt out and looked over at my wife who was trying to get herself together.
