Standing up and walking over to the opposite couch that she was sitting on, I grabbed her hand and stood her up. Holding her face in between the both of my hands, I made her look into my eyes.

"Yes" Cookie said barely above a whisper.

"Trust me when I say this all gon be over with. After this, Ima get out the streets. No more hustling. I need to focus on us and our children." I said looing into her chocolate brown eyes.

"You promise?"

"On everything I Love. I need to be a better husband and father. All that Star bullshit is done. I don't want nothing to do with her. She not shit to me but an employee. You're my everything. My beginning and my end. I'm not trying to live if you not wit me" I said still holding her face in between my hands. "I love you. Only you" I truthfully expressed.

After a long pause I started to get nervous. Was she not gonna say it back? She don't love me nomo?

"I love you too" She finally admitted as her eyes trailed down to my lips. Not wasting any time we both leaned in and our lips met for the first time in months. The kiss got heated quick. Tongue and all. She had a new glow to her...maybe it was the pregnancy or maybe she was just hot.

I pulled her as close as her stomach would let me before picking her up, and taking her to the bedroom we once shared together.
